Credit where credit is due. The Vipers have done something I dont think anyone would have believe would of happened after the first half of the BS season. Theirs guys stood up when the pressure was on and well done to them. Would also love them to beat the Rays in the semi because it would piss Ged off so much!
No, you want that to happen so that you basically get gifted a premiership without testing yourself against the best competition possible. Drawing a rugby league comparison, the Vipers are Parramatta and we're Canterbury. Clearly one of the best two teams in the comp all season but facing the form team who were dead halfway through. Just like Parramatta will go to shit due to shitty halves and relying on an outside back, so will the Vipers, with their reliance on a top order batsman to bail them out.
I have no idea about RL The serious side of me wants to play you guys in the final. As I do believe it would be the strongest 2 sides in the GF. However, I do think playing the Vipers would guarentee us the victory. They have shown they are not to be taken lightly. But the fun side of me wants them to beat you cause I would love to see your reaction.
But they were playing the Saders today so what does it matter? It is really about getting the result on the day not how you do it.
Happy with what we've done this season regardless of what happens from now on. The true test begins now though. We're going to have to beat the two best teams in the competition in successive games if we're to win the BS. We've beaten them both once each this season and we'll do it tough to prove we're not flukes. GL Stingrays, should be a good game.
