Watched Prisoner. Really enjoyed it and it reminded me that Hugh Jackman is actually a really decent actor.

Book was waaaay better. I began having that too - a thousand times over.

Shrooms - Had some interesting scenes but overall it was pretty bad.

Movie 43 - Pretty poor film. Had no idea what it was about before watching and haven't really looked it up after watching so I may be missing something but it was utter shite I thought.

Human Traffic - One of my favourite nostalgia movies.

V/H/S - Heard a bunch of good things about this and how scary it was but personally I don't really rate it and it went on a bit long I think.

Resolution - Apparently it's supposed to be scary but I actually cracked up laughing most of the way through it.

Zodiac - Based on the Zodiac killer from the 60's-70's. Thought this was pretty good, such a fascinating story.

Thinking about watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind next since I've heard good things about it and it expires on Netflix in a few days, but it has Jim Carrey in it so I don't know.

The only part of Movie 43 that was even slightly funny was the after-credits scene where the cartoon cat wants to fuck Josh Duhamel.

I switched it off as soon as the credits started.

I watched Zodiac the other day as well. Really enjoyed it. Love those movies that is based on real life killers. It went for ages but it was quite gripping. Wish there was a better ending to the story.

Princess Mononoke... why is this movie rated so highly? I don't care if it was hand-drawn and took alot of effort and talent, it was boring.

Hobbit 2... people were raving on about this so I came in with high expectations and was let down a bit. It was good, not great. Fucking lol at the forced love story. Could've done a much better job with the whole Gandalf V Sauron aspect in terms of building suspense... it sorta just.. happened.

    It is fucking brilliant.

Not sure it'd be your cup of tea though.

My brother always says Eternal Sunshine is one of the best first halves of a movie he's ever seen, reckon the second half is kinda shit though.

Yeah it was a bit long, but I think the pacing was spot on for a story like that.

Think I'll give it a crack tonight if it hasn't expired.

Anyhow watched a couple more over the past few days.

The Collector - Wasn't too bad I suppose, thought it was a little bit silly at times but then again most horrors are. Heard something about it having something to do with the Saw series originally but then they made some tweaks or some shit and turned it into it's own thing, but you can still feel the Saw vibe about it.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Don't think it was as good as people made it out to be. It was still alright but I guess I'll have to reserve judgement a little bit until I've seen part two since it hasn't really ended yet.

American Hustle. It's getting rave reviews, talk of Oscar noms, and is one of the most downloaded films at the moment. I really don't understand the fascination. Thought it was slightly above average at best. There is certainly a solid plot and some very witty dialogue but Bale as the protagonist is unbelievable and utterly cornball. He's doesn't at all look or sound Jewish, and was hamming up the Brooklyn accent so exhaustively that it was hard to listen to by the end of the film. I didn't like the pacing of it either.

Lawrence over-acted again too which is starting to give me doubts about her. Adams was quite good though.

I've found the opposite to be true. Quite a few people seem to not rate it all that highly and feel it's a step down from the Lord of the Rings movies. I tend to like it quite a bit though.

I think the first one in the Hobbit trilogy was rather slow but the second one was much better

I loved the first Hobbit. Liked the way they made it more silly and playful - that's exactly how it was intended

    was good I guess

Heard the 2nd hobbit ends on an epic cliffhanger so I've decided I wont watch it until the 3rd comes out.

  19. GYR DW Lewis

I wouldn't say it was an epic cliffhanger it was more of a "what!?!? you're ending it now and I have to wait a whole year?!?!"

An Awkward Sexual Adventure - Surprisingly pretty good considering the shitty title and front cover

Super - Pretty much a better Kick Ass, plus it has Ellen Page

Good Burger - Such a classic, I actually feel sorry for you if you didn't watch this when you were growing up
