    It's different being a glory supporter as opposed to picking a team that you enjoy watching. It is just incredibly silly for someone from New Zealand to decide that they want to support Rushden and Diamonds, for example. You support teams that you have access to and can follow even if you can't attend their matches.

    Plan B and Fellaini will be a problem going forward this season. If that's all he has up his sleeve in relation to tactical master strokes then it could be a long season of bore draws ahead and getting beat by mid-table teams more often.

    Man Utd fans must be a little bit nervous for the first time in a long time.

    They are still a good team, but with the Noisy Blue neighbours splashing the cash and having a perfect start to the season and some of the more traditional mid-table teams strengthening well this season, they might be thinking about a season outside of the top 6 potentially.

    Still early doors though rough and will be interesting to see the first weeks prem results after the international break.

    if it gets to January, and Man Utd aren't doing so well, do you think they will then try and spend there way back into contention once the transfer window reopens?

    Fully agree. As for the transfers, they needed to splash the cash now. They were in "trouble" from week 1 and there was enough time until the close of the window to hunt for a striker at the very least. Not sure if its LvG who is reluctant to hunt for players or the management who are unwilling to give the cash. But, yeah, I reckon they will buy big then if things don't get better by then.

    United won't miss the top 6. There's too much quality in that side even if they're playing average football. There's always a few mid table teams that start the season hot and then fizzle out. They lack the depth to compete on any level, as soon as Swansea, Southampton, West Ham etc players start tiring or they get a few injuries they'll drop off. Top 4 will be City, Chelsea, Arsenal and United again. I think it would be fair to say that there's been a clear middle tier that's developed that Spurs, Swansea, Stoke, Southampton and Everton sit in - not good enough to challenge for the title or CL, but well above relegation as well and even if United play boring, shite football they're still above this.

    Wer still doing better than any of the other big 6 though so im actually more confident this season than the previous 2. The only issue is our lack of penetration, we're in a situation similar to City under Mancini where we're just very one dimensional which is a worry.

    Nah I think United are pretty safe for 4th. They're boring but it gets the job done and they're super solid defensively. People underrate that because they don't rate United's CBs individually, but that's not really important.

    On a separate note, gutted to see Hector go, but glad to have him back for the season. But of a shame we didn't get more for him tbh. Think he'll succeed at Chelsea. Far better than a championship centre and definitely plays like a player with much more experience than he has.
