Yeah agreed. I hope we dont replace him though... Really want Januzaj and Pereira to get a good go at things this year and signing someone like Pedro as a backup to Mata and Young just hurts them. Lingard has looked decent again on tour but i feel with his big injury last year he probably needs a season on loan with a mid table club first.

Its a position we do seem well stocked in, what with Young remembering he's a footballer n all... In a way we've already signed his replacement in Depay.

  3. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Exactly, though with Depay looking like he'll line up behind Rooney you could argue he's replacing RvP and Falcao. I actually think he's better suited to an inside forward role from a wider area with Mata playing off the front instead ala Ronaldo, Sanchez or Hazard. He's massive, rapid and pretty skilful so would be a real handful for any defender if he's running at you - he'll get less opportunities from just off the front and doesn't have Mata's guile imo.

<3 Depay. He and Iturbe are such burners for your fut

Next FIFA he'll cost me truckloads more but will dominate with better chemistry to my mids

  6. Uppercut CB Faldo

I'd be biting their hand off. He wasn't even in our first-choice XI by the end of last season, ongoing hamstring issues too, and 27 isn't young for someone whose game is 90% pace+energy. Good move for the player too.

    Is Di Maria 100% gone?

  8. Riddy JH Ridd

id say more 95%. Depay too change to number 7??? or let ronaldo fill that slot next summer ;)

  9. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Ill eat my hat if we actually sign Ronaldo. That boat sailed when he signed a new contract.

Interestingly one newspaper said Ramos on verge of signing new contract, another saying wel sign him for £50 mill haha

  10. cpr CP Raftery

Well Romero is in, which is a great signing for free really. However almost certainly means De Gea will be off this summer

  11. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Given how little Lindergard has played in preseason, and Valdes moving on I don't think that's certain at all. Could definitely see him being a cup goalkeeper this season in preparation for him replacing De Gea next summer if we don't get what we want for him now.

  12. Uppercut CB Faldo

Romero wasn't first choice at Monaco last season was he?

  13. cpr CP Raftery

No, because he wasn't at Monaco last season :p

Wasn't first choice at Sampdoria either, Arsenal reject Viviano before him (but then, when has Wenger ever recognised a decent keeper....)

Still, at 28 I can't see him coming to play second fiddle if he can help it. Likewise I can't see LVG sticking religiously with De Gea if he knows he'll be off at the end of the season, more likely to try and bed Romero into the Premiership and get him up to speed before 16-17. A rusty keeper who's spent a year on the bench is not what we need to replace De Gea when he goes.

  14. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Isn't that what he is now? :p

  15. cpr CP Raftery

    hmm........ Yeah........

Suppose I've completely shot my own argument in the foot there!!

  16. Baxter MJ Deane

I always laugh when Blunder gets overly excited/hopeful about rumours (seems to talk about them more than most, even if he then goes on to say they're crap)

    but

    Busquets and Benzema

    I'd wank myself into oblivion

  17. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

Not buying into anything but can't help but get a bit excited

  18. Riddy JH Ridd

busquets in the prem would be brilliant

  19. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Busquets opitomises everything wrong with Spanish football afaic he can stay the fuck in Spain. Hes too important to sell though surely?

  20. Riddy JH Ridd
