    Ftr I reckon a mobile/balanced number 8 would be the ultimate type of player for this competition. Number 8s are generally quite athletic anyway plus as a loose forward they know how to attack the breakdown. Not to mention the fact that they sometimes take part in the lineout too. The only real weakness a number 8 would have is at scrum time but pretty much everyone outside the tight five will have that same problem.
