I would have thought the fact that only 2 of the pitches this season are unfriendly would play a big part in seeing so many successful spinners. There don't seem to be all that many very active genuine quick bowlers either which probably makes a difference.
That's the best average of those listed, but the actual best average would be Bots with 7 wickets @ 10, followed by James with 8 @ 15.25.
