    Simon Laing may be extremely confusing in the post match press-conferences with often a misplaced shout of “TROLL!”, but he’s a master at the breakdown. He knows the shades of grey far too well and the Spartans will have to look out for him.

    All the pics are mine. Took them at King Country's match at Levin and their home game vs. Mid-Canterbury in Taupo. KC's colours are the same as the Spartans, so it worked well for the article.

    Otaki is pretty much just Levin. We have a satisfactory ground which they can play on here tbh (Paraparaumu Domain)

    Besides Levin and Brotaki are definitely the poorer towns of Horowhenua-Kapiti. Everything this side up to Waikanae = rich. The otherside (Otaki, Levin) not so rich......You'd probably get mugged if you turned up :laugh:

    Right I reckon I've gone too far.
