Well epic is a little strong, Gonzo and Dempsey both have career averages of 39.

Problem with your team is where is your match winners? You'll have to do what we did and develop them over the season TBH

Or just hope that everybody does their bit?
You came 3rd last season, I never said the Clones would achieve that, I said we wouldn't come last and with that XI I stand by that.

Yeh fair enough, who will though?

Stickies IMO and the Ravens also below us. Maybe even the Gamblers.

  5. Sik_Slogga SLO Graham

Graham gunning for most dropped catches, two years running.

We came were we have the last 2 seasons for everyone doing their bit. I can't really think of one superstar over the last 2 where if we took them out and added another player, we'd have been too worse off.

Very true that, however I'd say the competition is much more balanced... and probably a bit harder.

    Bout ****ing time!
On paper, Ravens are big time spoon contenders.

    Final - Pumas/Rays
    Spoon - Saders/Ravens

    Most Runs - Speirs
    Most Wickets - Wilson

Do they have 22 players yet

    Thats @ Stickies and Ravens

Tipping the favourite is like buying the most tickets in the raffle then bragging about winning

Richie seems a well informed chap.

Stop trying to sing, fat lady.

I agree with some of this. The only thing that may **** us id the lack of a classy bowling all rounder.

As Gemmell said; Hallett will be 8 to start with. 3 spinners, 3 seamers.

Yeah the bowling all rounder/number 8 is a weakness....but so is the third seamer if we play this lineup. We'll see how it goes I guess.

    Season 8:

    Hallett: (7 matches) 223 runs @ 22.3... 29 wickets @ 25.52. Career bowl avg: 36.46

    Crowley: (12 matches) 124 runs @ 6.53....34 wickets @ 47.71. Career bowl avg: 35.82

And lets not even start on the balance Hallett brings to the XI.

    G2

    You really aren't very funny.

    Great shout.

Your 5 and 6 are Popovic who hasn't played a BS game in his life, and only FC experience is against GB academy... and Read who averages 35, and only averaged more than that in one season. Let's not forget his fantastic season 7 average of 19...

You only really have one or two stand out bowlers too.

  16. Farny AP Farnsworth

As much as I enjoy slating the Gamblers, how many teams have more than two stand out bowlers? If you have more than two, they're not really standing out...

  17. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Lol don't be pedantic :p

Even so they only have 1, at a stretch 2 bowlers i would consider with the potential to take lots of wickets regularly in Bullpitt.

Taylor was good S7, but dogwank S8...then there is Sullo who is meh. Crowley who is nothing special, and don't even get me started on Hallet.

Compared to the great bowling attacks of the Crusaders, Pumas and to an extent the Stingrays they're not great at all. And they bat to 4. Then have a good keeper at 7. On paper they should not make the finals at all.

  18. Wilson SB Wilson

    We do.

  19. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

As do the Pumas. And the 'Rays have 2.
