Haha, that was a pisstake. I'll avatar bet you that you won't average over 2 though. :p

  2. 99* JJ Ritchie

Yep, I'll take that. ALC only I'm guessing?

  3. Mousey AJ Son

Yeah, deal. I'm probably going to lose, but if I win it'll be super sweet.

No chance of that happening mate. The stickies, clones & saders to finish below the Rays.

    Premiers: Rays
    Spooners: Stickies

    Most Runs: Luffman
    Most Wickets: Farny

    Clones won't spoon it.

  7. Luffers JRE Luffman

Was struggling to think of a side to spoon TBH

Cyclones have one of the most unproven sides so naturally they will be in peoples thoughts for the spoon. They could have the likes of Masters come good but they may fail.

Well Masters has done exceptionally well in his career to date, Marto has FC experience and a great SC record, where he'll start this season, so he'll have a chance to get some early form.
Veri's a long shot but his career has started similarly to Masters's, then there's me.
The bowling also has Ridd who is experienced enough at FC level and hopefully this season can be Doog's breakout year.
There's a lot of depth there and the first XI is talented enough.

I love that nobody has tipped me for most runs

Like I said, a bunch of unproven players, if they don't come good you won't do that well. You could finish from 3rd to 8th TBH

Saying 'we won't spoon' is a fallacy because with such a lack of FC experience in about 1/2 of your team there is a definite chance of failure.

  11. Luffers JRE Luffman

I would of but I just thought you're too obvious a choice. It's not as fun just picking you to win.

  12. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

So you went with darkhorses like Wilson and Manera?

  13. Callum CJ Laing

Your cock sucking little puppy did.

  14. Luffers JRE Luffman

Yeh I realised as I wrote that what I had done! Was tempted to go Farny and Nick TBH

    Wish I had now :p

Reread it, all those players I named are in ALC FFS.

Toolio, Dempsey, Gonzo, Short, Freddy and Green is a really inexperienced core. Even add Callum to that list after an entire BS season. So 7 quality BS performers, Masters who averages >50 after playing a BS final.
Frizzed who has taken a ton of ALC wickets at an awesome rate, demolished the ALC last season and was the best spinner in it by far and only has a poor FC record because of one game he played for CricSim Academy when he had about 15 posts.
    We'll do fine.

    Really Marcuss? Really? Haha.

Toolman had a bad season last season, sure he's had some good seasons too, but no guarantee he'll perform this time. And Short only performed in seasons 4 and 5.

Short hasn't averaged over 38 for 3 seasons
Toolio hasn't averaged over 42 for 3 seasons
    Masters= unproven

Who else is in your batting line up then?

    Gonzo (VG)
    Toolio
    Dempsey (Gun)
    Masters
    ....
    ....
    Deane
    Laing
    Johns
    Green
    Welker

Whilst your bowling does look good I never really disputed that, your batting is deep but inexperienced, you could struggle. Don't see what I have said which is so wrong TBH

  18. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Have you ever top scored?

  19. Luffers JRE Luffman

Yeh he has, I bumped the thread for you.

I think it is looking like :

    Harding
    Gonzo
    Bedsey
    Man
    Short
    Masters
    Laing
    Johns
    Tait
    Welker
    Green

So Gonzo and Dempsey are epic. Callum averaged over 40 last season. Masters hasn't failed in proper cricket in anything that he's done so far I don't think (might've done poorly on a VIC trial or something). Man and Short aren't what they once were but averaging ~40 in your middle order is hardly doom and gloom.
Freddy and Green have been awesome with the ball and Callum has proven himself to be more than competent. Tait isn't experienced really and like I said about Welker, he pissed the ALC last season and he'd have a more than respectable FC average if it wasn't for one \_/ game he played for the Academy. He's more than ready for FC. Tait is the only question mark in that bowling line up and Harding the only one in the batting.
