A ruck forms, and great work by Dafter and Welker turn that ball over. Exceptional. Scoble is stuck at the bottom of the ruck, so the Sharks set up for Logan to clear. The ball comes back to him and Chung bears down on him quickly. Great pressure by the Spartans, but a hint of offside there. Logan dodges Chung, but kicks too quickly and it skews away only about 15m.

Straight to Blunder who takes a marvellous catch on the run.

 

Deep inside the Sharks 22 now, Blunder dodges the attempted tackle from Bakkum and dummies away Welker. He’s through! What an incredible try there. All from the skewed kick from Logan.

Blunder touches down under the posts. Easy conversion for Loughman.

And that’s McDougal’s spell in the bin over. His team just couldn’t quite hold out.

The Sharks mix up their back line now. On comes Ashleigh Stroud, off goes Scoble. This means they’ll have to juggle things a bit. Golding will presumably be taking kicks from now on.

Scrum to the Spartans just 10m on the Sharks side of the half-way line.

The ball quickly comes out to Cribb, who spins a pass away to Paddy Orr. Orr is stuck, going nowhere. He passes back inside to Loughman. Loughman with a good run, evading Hutchinson. Into the Sharks 22 now. Loughman passes to Tait. Great pass that as Loughman is tackled by Hutchinson. Great flowing move here. Tait to Schaw. Where are the Sharks defenders? This is shocking defence here. Schaw through but Logan is there to cover him. Schaw looks for the pass, but he can only dot the ball on the ground as Logan pushes him into touch.

 

He is full back. He was the last line of defence.... Anyway...

There’s no cover defence now with Logan tied up with Schaw. Who will be first to the ball?
