I'm definitely thinking post-season for the PC. If there are provincial games mid-season it'll be those three game series I mentioned above I think.
Would be pretty cool to see a midseason exhibition tour Cricsim.com vs South Africa Cricsim.com Development vs Zimbabwe
Your schedule sounds good. Only issue I can think of is whether having 5 day matches on Friday/Saturday will get much turnout - is it worth having 5 day matches Monday to Thursday and the one-dayers on the weekend? I know before one day competition windows started, IRL you often saw a one day game after the first-class ones IIRC. As for the mid-season thing I reckon N v S sounds good. I think having that during the season rather than after it will help with its identity.
He can sim 20 over matches with a 50 over sim no? If not it'll take less work to do so than converting it to a 5 day sim you'd think.
The sim I use for 50 over cricket was originally a T20 sim that I altered. It works for any number of overs that I tell it.
Really like the layout. PC at the end of the season is a good idea imo. Borisc trophy and the other one mid season could work well to break it up. Any chance of the calendar layout coming back or does that out too much pressure on?
My only suggestion cribb is to be dictitorial. I think you have done a fine job picking the teams. If someone is late Naming their lineup please proceed with the game without delay ( ie you pick the team )
I've been lenient with deadlines before usually because I miss them myself. If I tell people they have to name their lineup by 6am Monday but the injuries aren't posted until 2am Monday, then it's not really their fault. If I'm on time and selectors aren't then I'll pick them myself and start deducting points, though.
Fair enough. You could even donate all deducted points to the Clones as well, though it probably wouldn't make any difference to the tables.
