Kind of similar to Mittens I thought the Academy series last year was enjoyable. Though it'd mean more simmage for games where the outcome is irrelevant it would be a good test for some of the up aned comers. I'm not sure what a NSW Academy would look like this season but even if it were 2nd XIs playing friendlies it would be worthwhile IMO. Probably have to speak to the Provincial selectors whether they think that they'd gain anything from those sorts of matches though.
Basically, there's no glaring issue that needs ro be rectified. It's been awesome. Will Ribrunner be up before the end of S9?
Academy series is still going ahead; it's just North v South as individual provincial Academy teams aren't sustainable assuming we keep on schedule with simming each season. We just don't get that many new members in a short timeframe.
This suggestion is almost certainly impossible or a waste of time, but it would be quote neat to get a speed stat for bowlers. Understand completely that this would be too much effort though
I would like to see the number 1 ALC player do well in the BS, but the current sim does not allow this, which is disappointing for the player that is the best in the ALC, and that just happens to be me.
I think number of overs left would be great. Couldn't you do it by coding something to just take the number of overs gone off 450?
Yeah loaning players sounds cool. Also, is it possible to have multi-season contracts? Could be worthwhile not making a million people change clubs every season.
You'd pretty much kick out a certain club for that to happen.... For now, we've got enough clubs. Unless someone goes on a massive recruiting spree.
I think it's really good At the moment to be honest. I don't think there is a need for a new team just yet.
With the whole filler players, should run a draft IMO. Reverse order from last years ladders (ie, whoever spooned it gets first pick). And you get to pick whatever filler players are left, so if Bullpitt doesn't re-sign and is a filler player, he is available to be picked in the draft. That said, filler players might not be needed at this rate
Also, bring back 3-2-1 points and maybe have cribb or the herald do a BS team of the Year, and ALC team of the year, then have a one-off "all-star" match

More thinking that it gives rookies a chance to compete, no wait, get smashed, by established players. Especially with Cricsim North and South, you can pretty much name those sides now, with all the usual suspects there. Yes true, i forgot about teh Herald
