Vipers v Cyclones Vipers: Sweetman, McGrath, Delonge*, Gee, Verigotta, Nova, Boland†, Weaver, Eggman, Welker, Blunder Cyclones: Farhat, Narang, Morris*†, Masters, Laing, Man, Hurricane, Hunt, Martyn, Edwards, McDougal We open round six with a trip to the snake pit to see the Vipers host the Cyclones. This game is sure to draw a lot of attention for a variety of reasons, but none more so than Callum Laing's return to his old home after being granted a release from the Ravens. Laing slots in at number 5 off the back of quite a good season so far with the willow. Rumour has it he's looking forward to getting a spell with the ball, a welcome change given his role at the Ravens. For the Vipers however, eyes will be focused on the two injury replacements, Lee Sweetman and Super Nova, who come in to replace the injured Jake Luffman and James Torres, two mainstays of the Vipers' monstrous batting lineup. The Vipers struggle for depth in their batting and as a result, Lee Sweetman has been called up despite mediocre performance. Nova, on the other hand, has kept up a good standard of training despite his batting struggling so far this season. His bowling however provides vital relief on the four man pace attack that's began to suffer from the fatigue associated. Dave Eggman will need to stand up. The best fast bowler in all of Cricsim, he's started off the year slowly by his lofty standards and he'll be looking to rectify this in a game where he's needed the most. For the Cyclones, James McDougal will be looking to continue his great start to the season. The Herald predicts a 250 run/8 wicket win to the Vipers, with a brilliant Delonge century being the catalyst for a comprehensive victory.
