    I actually really like the club; one of my favourite clubs actually. I hate the current team though because they go against all I believe; they spread the ball wide without first gaining momentum up front and they don't have a proper controlling half - by all rights they should never win a game IMO. They do anyway though and it frustrates me.

    Yeah clearly they're the same side- that's why they missed fewer tackles in Rd 1 then they have in yonks. Boy hasn't Orford made a difference tonight... Lol

    Well I don't know what's going on over at NRL Stats because I checked there two days after the match and it was below 40. In fact, I think it was below 30.

    Channel 9 had them at 12 missed tackles in the first half.

    Anybody who regularly watches the Cows knows their defence was better in Rd 1 than it was for the majority of 2010.

    Anyway, it's a moot point. Julian and Speiz say it's virtually the same side. Again, anyone who watches the Cows regularly knows it's not. For starters, they don't have Rovelli there. They have a far, far better defender in Thompson. They also have Tupou in the centres with Graham on the wing rather than the other way around. They have Hall and Johnson in the backrow instead of Dickhead O'Donnell and Wanker Webb. They have Sims, Cooper and Jones on the bench - that is 3 out of 4 changes right there. They no longer have just Thurston as captain, nor as the sole first receiver. And most importantly, Thurston, Payne and Bowen are injury free.

    That is incomparable to last year.

    They shed more players than just about anyone.

    If you think they're worse in defence now than what they were last year, than I think you ought to start actually watching matches rather than just looking at stats.

    Just because you think it's right doesn't mean it's a moot point ffs.

    They've still got almost exactly the same three quarterline, the coach is simply picking a different half to partner Thurston and the deadwood in the forwards has just been replaced by very, very similar player or promoted reserve graders.

    Id rather they show if they have improved, I cant be bothered getting into the talking of how much they have. In the end they have made me the fool a lot in the past so Id rather they just show these apparent changes.
