    Well that's just stupid.

  2. Mousey AJ Son

    Haha, AWTA

  3. Fiery GR Smith

Hey I don't decide the bowling order

Why would you open with a Defensive Medium-Fast Bowler instead of an Aggressive Fast Bowler anyway? :troll:

Easy win this. Lets start strong lads.

  5. Farny AP Farnsworth

Do the Pumas really not have any genuine first grade seam bowlers?

  6. Cribbage RG Cribb

Flack and Izett both count these days. Their averages are .. average .. but that's due to poor starts really; they've been good enough in the last couple of seasons on bowling alone. Even at rep level in Flack's case.

    Beyond that though - no.

  7. Escath LE Schaw

In Flack, Chewie and Hunt we trust.

  8. Farny AP Farnsworth

Pfft, Flack is a batsman, don't give me that.

Izzett is a hero though. IIRC I once recieved the Izzett trophy/award/whatever back in the day.

  9. Cribbage RG Cribb

Flack is ranked 23rd in bowling.

Try this one out - last BS season he only took 3 less wickets than you and averaged about 5 runs less...

  10. Farny AP Farnsworth

Christ, he's fast-medium? I always thought he was a spinner.

Actually, out of interest, do we have any dibbly dobbly medium pacers on the sim? I can't remember if it was an option at sign up.

Flack opens the bowling these days. In fact he opened the bowling for NSW City when we won the Provincial Championship.

Izett actually is a straight medium pacer. There are a whole host of allrounders who just bowl meds, but Izett, Chung and Zakaron were the only ones who decided to be specialists in the art.

  12. azzal AJ O'Neill

Vipers to fuck up the poomas.

  13. Farny AP Farnsworth

Haha, yeah, just saw he's an "aggressive medium bowler". How the hell do you bowl medium pace aggressively? It's like when Ravi Bopara tries to bowl bouncers...pitiful.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

Aggressiveness just refers to the balance between looking for wickets and conserving runs. So if you're bowling aggressive medium pacer that means you're probably a swing bowler who looks to pitch it up, attack the stumps, have slips in place etc - like Praveen Kumar I guess, or James Franklin when he actually bowled properly. If you're a defensive medium pacer you'll stack the off side field, bowl back of a length outside off and just try to frustrate the batsmen, ala James Hopes.

Haha, yeah, I know that it doesn't actually refer to trying to hurt the batsmen, hence aggressive spinners etc. Calling Praveen and Franklin plain medium pacers is a little harsh though :p

  16. Luffers JRE Luffman

Smith for 6 wickets overall. 100 run opening partnership for McGrath and me, ton for Gee.

All of these predictions will be right.

  17. Gazza GJ Weaver

Put all my money on my Pumas so I win either way :)

  18. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

    C'arn Pumas.

  19. SM MD Dorn

Comfortable being outsiders. Should be a good match though

  20. Hunter AD Hunt

When there's 6 medium assist and 2 fast assist.
