Rob has received an email from the hosting service about the CPU usage, and the email was much along the lines as the one he got back at the original hosts. basically if we don't 'fix' it in the next 48 hours they'll probably take the forums/sites down. vBulliten is the issue, it uses a lot of CPU, it's a common issue, so we're looking into places that are good for vB and other options so we don't ave to go through another patch of downtime where we lose members etc. So if it goes down, it'll be back eventually, just check in, or talk to other CricSimmers who might have more info; Or join up to http://cricsimreserve.myfreeforum.org/index.php (or use your old account).
Yeah, server shit always happens when CricSim is on the up. The whole thing that led to Merkgate happened just before Season 8 started, I was so excited and then the shit hit the fan. I guess we really ram the CPU usage a lot more when things are going well.
