Holmes back and Mitchell leaving Easts. This bodes well for Qld.
Arrow to Souths would be good too. Be nice to see him in a pack he doesnt have to carry.
Sezer -> Huddersfield...
In an age where there is such a dearth in halves that players like Hunt, Taylor and Milford are making $1M a season, how is this guy going to ESL?
If we let him go, I'm gon be real mad
Have you seen her?
You guys are no chance.
I also won't lie to myself and act like these signings will solve all their problems because they won't, just part of them. He still needs to really change how they attack. Running similar angles trying to set up plays is very predictable. Needs to allow them to change the plays a bit.
Luciano Leilua to the Tigers.
I like it. Madge seems to be a forward whisperer of sorts and he's got plenty of talent like his brother. Hopefully he can put it together as he matures.
David Fifita has turned down, rumour has it, $6m over 5 years from Souths and says nothing will get him out of Brisbane
Hard to understand decision given broncos are strapped and this season
at least can’t come close to anything like that or even 50 per cent as much.
Umm what? Brisbane have shitloads of money after 21 when Bird, Boyd, Macca and possibly Milford leave.
his mum lives in brisbane i'm guessing and so he will stay with her
By which stage he will be down a million in lost payments
Prefer Toolman's explanation, have heard the Mum makes all the decisions.
His contract isn't over until the end of 2020, so he's only missing out on one season, and I imagine he's got a juicy upgrade at some point so he's maybe missing out on 500-600K? And with the salary cap going up each season the Broncos can just backend a new contract a bit to make up the difference. If the Broncos really don't want to lose him they can make up the lost wages.
Or leagues club can lose some cash again.
His mum can have a nice win on a scratchie like Hannant.
Boyd will retire at end of season. Good thing he wont take up his option, but that will be 2 years too late.
Should have been forced to retire effective immediately. Simple solution was for Broncos to offer him an immediate start in mental health program. But if he plays 2020, the job is no longer available.
The way I understand it, and I am new so i could be wrong, if say Souths, for example, offer him 1.2M per season and he wants it - a frequent next step observed over the psst 5 years is for him/the player and his manager to bitch and whine and threaten to put in a half hearted performance unless Brisbane release him immediately. That doesn't always happen but we got Kodi Nikorima released immediately last season when his contract was due to run longer. Now I know that is apples and oranges because Brisbane didn't give a fuck about losing Kodi and they would give a fuck about losing David but the dynamic I am describing still holds if Fifita really wanted to leave.
Given a scenario like that, even given Boobiddy's suggested end of 2021 financial influx, Fifita is walking away from $1.5M here over two years and that is big coin.
I hope what I have written is cogent. Had trouble organising the sentence structures.
Never thought I would be so happy to sign Josh fucking Morris at centre.
Just on that. Sharks considering a swap for a forward is weird because they’ve got a rancid group of wing/fullbacks.
Yeah especially since Moylan is (shock horror) injured again.
When Bukuya might not make the 17 but Will Kennedy probably will you really don't need another forward.
