    I actually agree lol. It just feels like they'll pay him his normal wage. But if he is actually on the cheap it could be an excellent move.

    In other news, Sironen went to the Warriors. Don't know why we let him go, unless we're gonna try Murray on an edge again.

    Didn't want to stand in his way of a long-term deal on big pay apparently.

    For a team with fuck all second row depth, Souths sure don't seem too bothered about keeping the ones they were actually using (Sua aside). Sironen, Lowe and Johns all gone, Cartwright unproven, Murray experiment failed miserably.

    After Murray on an edge was such a disaster early this year I was thinking Bennett would use Arrow as a prop. He'll almost certainly be forced into using Murray on an edge as it stands, for large segments of the game if not the full 80. Crazy.

    It's insane money. Flegler has potential, 650k a year is for the elite front rowers in the comp, he isn't even good enough to start for Brisbane, who just got the spoon.

    Despite the fact that the Murray experiment failed miserably early in the season, he actually gave him game time there again in the back end of the year but just avoided the controversy of it by naming him at 13 and doing some late reshuffles. I think he's gonna have a second crack at it.

    Looks like the Tigers are gonna sign Joe Ofahengaue. Reports say he's on 500k at the Broncos and apparently we'll be paying 350-400k with the Broncos covering the rest.

    If Manly really are offering Aloiai over 600k a year, then I'd gladly take Joe O. If we're gonna flick Aloiai and Garner off to Manly for Sironen to go with the Joe O signing, even better.

    Honestly, I'll be happy with the team outside of the spine if we do that. Obviously we're gonna be shit because of the spine though.

    $1.3M over 3 years is far more realistic (though it still feels like too much for him at this stage).

    Fuck I hope so, it's hard to believe that all these front rowers are getting more money than the 2 guys who actually carried the pack this year.

    Regarding Ofa, I dunno if it's due to everyone declining under Seibold, or he has genuinely gone to shit. Hopefully it's the former for his own sake, but he was probably the worst defensive player in the worst defensive side.
    Same thing with Oates...hopefully it's all just Seibold aids.

    I'm definitely super pro-Goates, but he really only had a few bad games on the wing. He was injured most of the year, and had a few games where he forgot to catch. I want him to be given a proper run without injuries and more importanly, without Boyd at centre.

    I fucking hate Chambers, but if they can get him for cheap I don't have an issue with it. Brisbane only have 2 centres and Staggs is done for most of the year. And I watched the locker room interview with B Smith and he said Chambers was a huge part of the Storm culture at training and always went hard on the young blokes, Brisbane need something like that.

    I am new to league so you know more than me Boobiddy
    However in the small number of years have been following think that little attention should be paid to locker room value when evaluating acquisition targets.
    We brought over Adam Blair 3 years ago on big coin because
    A) he was considered good
    B) his locker room value in terms of imparting knowledge to young Cunts

    Once we acquired him his real value in terms of winning games and helping the club boiled down to reason a even though he did some good thinks from a reason b perspective

    If reason b is vital to your club eg you are the Titans or broncos suggest that this maturity, wining attitude and professionalism habits can be embued through other off field roles that don’t take up salary cap or a top 30 spot.
    Eg I think Johns was brought in this year by new castle from a mentorship perspective

    Joe O is a good pickup at 300k. I feel smaller forwards are so undervalued on the market.

    It's of a slap in the face though if Aloai ends up leaving because it's definitely a downgrade.
