I think he'd go well there as it would have him routinely attacking both sides and keep him out of the defensive line.
  2. Toolman TR Man

i suppose with latrell inevitably leaving morris will be switched into the centres and ryan hall on the wing?
  3. Magic AJ Parker

Young kid called Billy Smith who will probably get first crack. Hard to know how good he is as he did his ACL in his first year with the club so don't really know how good he is but Robbo has a crush on him so I'd say he'll get first crack.
  4. Lukic L Popovic

Garner and Twal extended and Leilua likely to join.

Hearing we're announcing a signing each day this week so should be interesting who the other two are.
  5. Toolman TR Man

i heard on the radio that valentine holmes was signed by the cows? so i'm guessing tigers would have to be the favourites to sign latrell now.
  6. Magic AJ Parker

I doubt the Cowboys were ever serious, I think they were just pushing Holmes for a decision.

And I doubt Latrell was ever that interested given that he drives up to Taree at least once a month. But it'll keep the Tigers offer honest given everyone else seems to have dropped out of the race.

I reckon they just chatted shit over dinner about how they were trolling the media.

Sounds like Croft-> Brisbane will happen.

While it's not a bad signing, I was hoping the Green rumour would come through.

Not sure how the halves will look next season. I'd rather Deardon get another season in QCup and I think Sullivan looks the real deal, just needed more 1st grade time to get his confidence and timing right. He did an ACL however so not what condition he'll be in March.

Would much rather Croft to Green. I read Milford will be moved back to 6 to partner Croft, and they will find a new fullback, possibly Isucko.

    1. Milford
    2. Goates
    3. Boyd/Glenn
    4. Staggs
    5. Anyone
    6. Bird
    7. Croft
    9. Turpin

That's probably the best option for Brisbane.
  9. Magic AJ Parker

Odd signing for mine. Get that he's at least got 50 games under his belt but he looks a pretty average prospect with quite a lot of short comings as a playmaker.

Another playmaker with limited ball playing skills is really the last thing Brisbane needed.
  10. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

This is my concern, I think Green would offer much more. Even if for a season or 2.
  11. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Brisbane need a steady half with a decent kicking game. Sezer was my first preference, but Croft isn't a bad signing, much better than all the current options at 7.
  12. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

They don't really lack in the kicking department, their problem is they have no direction. They need a half who can take control of the side and construct a set.
  13. Julian BJ Taylor

I agree he's an odd signing. Brisbane needed experience there IMO.

I rate Croft a hell of a lot higher than most though. Definitely looks more than a pretty average prospect for mine.
  14. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

They missed a trick not making a play for Maloney.
  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

They definitely need someone who can kick. Milford is the only 1 at the moment, unless they use Isucko at 1.
  16. Paddy P Orr

Paul Green is rumoured to be trying to let some other plays go including Granville to try to make a play for Latrell. Tbh I am for it as long as it would be obviously cap complicit.
  17. Magic AJ Parker

The quotes from the Cowboys CEO I think it was on Granvilles availabiltiy in an article on Fox were hilarious.

The most outright version of a club saying we don't rate this bloke so if anyone wants him they can have him without actually saying it... assuming because of legal reasons.
    Cribbage and Paddy like this.
  18. Julian BJ Taylor

Wouldn't be like Paul Green going all out on a quick fix would it?
  19. Paddy P Orr

Be a change from him going all out not changing anything and expecting different results.
  20. Julian BJ Taylor

The only signing that worked at all recently is Drinkwater and he looks like he'll get the ass now Holmes is on board.
