    Been watching the NYC and NSW Cup games this weekend and am feeling a little more confident for 2014. Sure signed a few interesting signings, particularly in the halves but there are some good players coming through the rank.

    4. Brad Tighe
    5. David Simmons/James Roberts
    6. Jamie Soward
    7. Peter Wallace
    8. Sam McKendry
    9. Kevin Kingston

    13. Nathan Smith

    14. James Segeyaro
    15. Adam Docker
    16. Brent Kite
    17. Nigel Plum

    Then you have the likes of both the Naiqamas, Nabuli, Sam Anderson, Nathan Smith, Tyronne Peachey and the new ones coming through like Cartwright and Eisenhuth and things are looking good.

    Almost certain to have left someone out. On another note, gun to see both Windsor and the Penrith NYC team making the Grand Final. Best worst case scenario.

    Kevin Naiqama is better than Mansour and, at this stage, Roberts IMO.

    Nathan Smith will not make the side ahead of Manu, Robinson or Peachey either, and Plum will be starting.

    You'd assume from how Naiqama has been playing lately he'd get the left wing spot. Whare and Simmons should have the right side. Will be a battle for the left centre gig.

    I knew I was forgetting someone. I haven't seen heaps of Naiqama only last night and last week so wasn't willing to make that judgement. I'm cool with whatever Cleary goes with.

    And yeah Manu >>> Smith I knew there was someone really missing.

    Looks like the best choice may even be to play Brown in the centres to open up another spot in the backrow.

    Yeah I said that earlier in the thread I think, or in another one.

    Before this season I would've thought Brown to centre would've been a truly, truly terrible call but he was pretty good when he played there this year. Still got beaten on the outside a bit in defence but Tighe is hardly a great defender himself anyway, and he Brown really improved his centre-play in attack, being prepared to get the ball flat-footed out wide a little bit more and turn on his late footwork, while still preserving his hole-running game. With another offseason training there I think it could be his go, even though he is still definitely a better second rower.

    Peachey would also make a good centre IMO; don't think he's ever played much there though.

    Nah Docker is better than Simpkins. Tackles just as effectively but hits harder and is a slightly better middle third runner too.
