Kyle Stanley has done it 5 times though tbf. The poor cunt.
  2. Julian BJ Taylor

Yeah absolutely. Sort of reiterates what we're saying though.

End of the day as a massive rugby league fan I hope he makes a full recovery and in 18-24 months he's back to his best.

    Yeah definitely.

You can't say either way if he will return to the same player or not. Players have done it, but a lot more haven't. The odds are certainly against him but I'm sure he'll take people like Adrian Peterson as a good example when he enters rehab.

As the opening post in this thread shows I can't pick the Warriors very well (but then again who can). Kearney strikes me as exactly what they don't need though. The club needs a bit change in culture, Kearney is definitely not the man for the job.

That's not to say that they won't make the 8 next year, a fit Sheck, Luke and Johnson have points in them and theres a lot of power surrounding them in Kata, Thompson and company. But it seems like its the same old tried and failed recipe for unpredictable mediocrity. They stay fit they scrape into the 8 as the dark horse, a few injuries or Kearney still being unable to coach a club side sees them 11th-12th.

Nah it's a great appointment. At least we have a kiwi and not a SFAP nobody in charge now. He would have learned a lot from his stint at the Eels coaching Aussie fuckwits. He's renowned for his work ethic, attention to detail and a ruthless pursuit of success - 3 key ingredients that have been missing from the Warriors in recent years. As Kiwis coach, he has brought a World Cup title, two Four Nations crowns and an unprecedented five wins over the Dingoroos. WAG.

Ahhh yes, that Parra squad he had that avoided the spoon by a last round win in 2011, the Aussies in the side like Nathan Hindmarsh, Tim Mannah and Luke Burt were certainly the problem, if only they'd performed to the high standards the likes of unearthed islander superstar Taniela Lasalo.

He's certainly got an eye for talent bringing someone like Joseph Paulo off the bench for one game whilst giving Lasalo a whole season and who can forget Uaisele's breakout season whilst leaving Sio in the lower grades.

That's just 2011 though I suppose, he certainly turned the club around the following year and showed that he at least has an eye for talent in recruiting Chris Sandow to really turn the clubs culture around. Can't believe Parra didn't let him see out the season. Big things ahead for Warriors, at least he's one step ahead of where he started at Parra because he's already got his culture altering superstar marquee in Isaac Luke, really think they'll form a terrific partnership and things could easily go as well as they did at Parra.

'At least we have a kiwi'. Lol. Everything wrong with the Warriors can be summed up right there. Kiwis are so unbelievably biased and they suffer because of it. It's very satisfying to watch as you morons suffer through your own stupidity. Literally the only reason they're picking Kearney is because he's a Kiwi. All logic is thrown out the window in favour of bias. Because he's a kiwi. Absolutely moronic.

He was a great player and will command respect from his players, unlike McFadden, who was an average player and worse man-manager.
  12. Magic AJ Parker

I don't think it's the coach that's the issue, I think the club is just poorly run.

The best Kiwis are being developed in club systems of Australian clubs.
  13. Fiery GR Smith

The coach was a big issue. He kept picking SFAP Jonathan Shite over guys like Lolohea FFS.

And we lost Hurrell through his poor man-management. I don't think he could relate to any of the Polynesian players and vice versa. Will be a different story with Kearney. They will look up to him...both literally and figuratively

Doesn't seem like the coach was the only problem though since the Warriors have tended to struggle even before McFadden. Getting rid of him was a good idea but doubt that would be the only problem.
  15. Fiery GR Smith

Of course not. It's a good start though. Listening to McFadden whenever he was interviewed, he just didn't seem that interested. No passion.

I am surprised they have kept him employed. Hope he doesn't undermine Kearney at all

13th but only missed 15th on for and against. Am I right in saying they stayed reasonably fit throughout the season (I think I watched two warriors games all year)?
  17. AVA T Delonge

Foran was out for a chunk of the season and Johnson was out for a month? at the end I believe. Apart from that yeah, don't think they had any major injuries. Funniest thing about Fiery's statement is his comment on work ethic. Warriors are easily the laziest club out there. So many out of shape players.

    Fiery is gheeyyyyyy.

Never go against a Sultan prediction.

Just read the last couple of pages. Sheck has tried his guts out since he's been back. But he hasn't even been close to the player he once was. Hope he gets there next year.
