Accept that you aren't going to take a lot of wickets as a middle overs bowler. Accept it!! You have one of the best List A economy rates in the game and an average of 30 is actually pretty good when you compare that to the other middle overs bowlers. There are only two middle overs bowlers on the list ahead of you - Welker and Chung. The rest of those guys get cheap wickets in the slog overs to help their averages.
Tough shit. Someone has to do the dog work in the middle overs when the batsmen are playing properly; just because it's you doesn't mean you're shit.
I hope you're looking forward to taking 1/42 off 10 for CricSim South at the end of the season because I sure as hell plan on selecting you.
Does getting most wickets at the best average and SR in the HC mean I have any chance of making Norths OD this season? I have no idea how i've gone in rep od cricket
The rankings are more accurate than your base quoting of First Class statistics. Farny and Bullpitt have good FC records, lets get them in the top ten again! You've taken 58 wickets in misc. games that mean nothing @ 25. He's taken 17 wickets in those games @ 50. So there's a fair distortion to begin with. BS this season Howe - 31 wickets @ 47 Harps - 16 wickets @ 21 PC this season Howe - 27 wickets @ 31 Harps - 23 wickets @ 35 ALC this season Howe - 15 wickets @ 20 Harps - 63 wickets @ 21 You've been a bit better in the PC but he's been a bit better in the BS. He's also played a lot more ALC than you this season and it's reasonable to estimate that a 20-21 average in ALC is not the equivalent of a 40+ BS average, most of the time. Overall you're very comparable which is why you're ranked similarly. You've shown more promise in non-ranked games but they rightly don't count when ranking players.
Probably but it's definitely not as simple as with the old forum software so I cbf, especially since the rankings will be moved to the stats site in the offseason anyway. Maybe I should make the ranks in your postbit hyperlinks to the rankings pages when I do that.
