Yeah, won't trade with him. I mean, alternatively I could've just given him $50 and not told anyone. Same result.

Dominant Forwards (now Attacking/Defensive Forwards) Dominant Forwards were a source of some conjecture last year and to improve the situation, the criteria for their award has been simplified. In place of the numerous criteria of previous seasons, there are now two criteria that may be achieved. The award of 'Dominant Forward' has been replaced by two distinct awards for Attacking or Defensive Forwards. To achieve either criteria, a player must be named in their nearlysport team as either a forward (ie numbers 8-13) or on the bench (numbers 14-17). A player may earn both criteria and will have the full score credited for both. Attacking Forward Eligibility for an Attacking Forward is based primarily on a players metres gained. Line breaks also contribute toward the eligibility as do offloads and tackle busts though to a lesser extent. The player must have been named by their NRL club as a forward or on the bench. By default, an Attacking Forward earns 4 points for their nearlysport team and half that if named on the bench. Defensive Forward Eligibility for a Defensive Forward is based on the balance of a players Tackles less Missed Tackles. The player must be named in their nearlysport team as a forward however players do not need to be named as a forward by their NRL club to earn the award. By default, a Defensive Forward subtracts 4 points from the score of their nearlysport opponent and half that if named on the bench. An additional option exists for Private Competitions who wish to limit the impact of forwards on the outcomes of their matches. This option is called 'Forward Battle' and is designed to encourage teams to recruit a balance in the types of forwards in their team. Forward Battle Under the Forward Battle system, any Defensive Forward earned still subtracts 4 points from the opposition score, but only to the extent of Attacking Forwards earned by the opposition. Defensive Forwards cannot subtract points earned by normal scoring plays. For example, if Team A scored 2 Attacking Forwards and their opposition Team B scored 4 Defensive Forwards, under the default option the net result would be -8 points to Team A's score. Under the Forward Battle system, the net result would be 0 to Team A's score. The idea is to ensure that teams do not simply sign a large number of Defensive Forwards and rely on this to win games. At team consistently scoring 6 or 7 Defensive Forwards would still need to score points (either through normal scoring types or through Attacking Forwards) to achieve a high score.
Dominant Players (now People's Players) Dominant Players also caused some conjecture last year and have been replaced this year by People's Players. The concept is similar in that the best players in the match are still voted on by the players of nearlysport, however there are a few important changes. Scoring In previous seasons a Dominant Player was any of the top 3 players in each match and scored 4 points for their nearlysport team. This has been modified such that by default, the top player in each match scores 4 points, the second player in each match scores 2 points and the 3rd player in each match scores 1 point. Also by default, players named on the bench in their nearlysport team score half these amounts with a bench player who is the 3rd best player achieving 0 points.
Other Changes - Private Competition owners can now choose to begin recruitment when they like as opposed to when the last team registers. - Draft Competitions can now set the order of the draft to be 'snake' or 'ladder' in addition to the existing random option. - The default salary cap has been increased to $5.85m as an estimate of the real NRL salary cap. - Minimum player salaries have been increased to $50,000 - Due to the increased number of 'different' kick-off times (ie Thursday kick-offs and revised Friday night programming) the old 'Friday 4pm' bidding deadline has been altered to now be 4 hours before that weekend's kickoff.
