Shouldn't sign a 2 season contract unless your 100% certain. I'm for it. If you want to leave in the middle and the president won't let you too bad.
Lol, thats not to do with one season contracts, nor will two season or more contracts fix that. That problem is from shithouse management. The fact of the matter is, its pointless. Players who are likely to agree to 2 or more season contracts are players who dont need to sign such things as their signature is arguably that clubs. Younger, hotter properties who this is intended for, probably wont want to sign them.
I disagree. If, for instance, the Allstars had Manera on a two-season deal when the Ravens came in, I doubt he'd break his deal with the Allstars meaning his leadership and activity would've stayed with the Allstars as well. Clubs could use it to make sure they've got enough time to bring someone else through if a senior member is planning on leaving.
Exactly. It's stupid. There's no point to it afaic. The only ones that will sign big deals are the loyal ones anyway.
No I think this is a good idea tbh. It gives stability to teams who might look for a long term investment and offer a 2 season contract to 2 players for one spot, one says he only wants one year the other agrees to it, who would you take? I'm all for it. If you don't like them, then don't use them tbh.
I don't know how he feels about it, but I reckon he'd have been perfectly happy to see out his contract and then move on, with someone like Humble in his place.
Or Julian. Humble was the only ex-Allstar who is still active other than the main ones that I could think of.
