    Well tbf this last day has been over New Years which is just bad timing. Any way we can get a 24 hr extension? AVA jumping on Baxter is interesting, perhaps we lynch between them today? Think the only way to move the game forward is to get some claims out there. Starting with Baxter, that’s 2/5 meaning we don’t need any more people jumping on to hammer him till he’s said his piece at least.

    My only question would be given the length between games whether some people are mafia low-flying and getting away with it. Annoyingly, I can't yet find the "who's posted on this thread that many times" thing that vBulletin had and given the poor attendance in general, that makes getting a read that much harder.

    Well you had a weird read on the death of the insane cop, then randomly tried to lynch Prez and haven't posted till just now.

    If we're going for someone random I wouldn't mind lynching you.

    Not inclined to lynch Baxter because he was trying to explain why a RL was a bad idea, which is not typically in the interests of Maf.

    Well, the "random" lynching of MrPrez was to see if it got any bites, as that gives information. More proactive than just posting "urgh. nothing's going on today" or filler like that.

    Haha I made 2 posts of which the contents were agreed by Howe, Baxter and AVA. Another one didn't have much value but I was just advising the cop to stay low if possible since the doc died.

    But your point was wrong. I mean, just because the insane cop is dead doesn't mean there isn't a paranoid or naive cop or both. At the start of the game, I'd assumed the setup would be reasonably vanilla, but the insane cop being revealed highlights that the reality is otherwise.

    Yeah somehow I don't think 3 cops (in whatever state of mind) running about in a game of this size makes much sense.

    But then again morgieb does have a reputation with people and mental disabilities..

    I want to wait for the final people who haven't checked in (Howe & Prez I believe).

    I'm going to tentatively assume there's 4 non-town players (either 2+2 or 3+1). If the 3rd party are anti-town, we could be in trouble with a mislynch because we'll be relying on the scum to hit a 3rd party or we're starting the next day with 4 town and 4 non-town. It could be game over depending on their win conditions.

    While I do think Baxter is the best lynch at this point, I also think no lynching and waiting for a cop/investigator to claim next phase and reveal all their info might be a viable strategy too.

    Hopefully they get in at some point this morning and have more to say than half the game.

    We have a few options but only 6 hours, not the greatest spot. Even then we can lynch and miss on paper I guess, but that might put town at the mercy of the third party and who knows what role that is.

    Yeah my logic with the Baxter lynch is that if it was a a slipup he's more likely to be 3rd party rather than mafia. And if he is 3rd party (and was thus trying to mislead by implying there was only 1 3rd party when he knew otherwise) is that the most likely role would be a cultist which IIRC is inherently non-town.

    Nothing to add report-wise.

    However, Captain turning the suss on Heef and away from Baxter for weak reasoning seems the most suss thing so far this day phase. Particularly given the current time constraints.

    Vote Baxter for now as he's clearly the best RL target for now. Massive FoS on Captain if Baxter is maf.

    This doesn't make sense. If I was Maf I wouldn't know how many 3P there were regardless and if I was 3P I'd have no way of being certain how many other 3P or Maf there were.

    It was pure speculation and I wasn't alone in it.

    Agree about you not knowing numbers for certain if you were mafia (apart from you knowing how many mafia there were obviously, but that can be estimated and 3 seems reasonable enough to not be suss). Disagree about 3rd party not necessarily knowing others though, cultists would be in communication with each other (and/or if you were recruiting you'd know whether you had recruited or not) which is my fear if you were truly trying to mislead the numbers for your own gain.
