    Here's a thought - if I was non-town wouldn't it have made more sense for me to try and support a random lynch and steer it towards a townie?

    I was on board for a no lynch right out of the gate...

    Town: Wouldn't know any numbers, so the 3+1 guess would be pure speculation (and quite bold considering the implication that there may be more than 1 3rd party)

    Mafia: Would obviously know how many other mafia there were (barring any wacky mechanics), would be a guess as to the number of 3rd party.

    3rd party: Would be a guess as to how many mafia (same as if they were town) but would potentially know of other 3rd party (or would be actively recruiting to their cause and thus increasing the numbers), and thus may try and mislead by implying only 1 3rd party exists to try and hide that they are just as much of a threat to town.

    My lynching is based on the third possibility.

    A cultist-style 3rd party doesn't necessarily have to get killing happening though, if they can recruit every day or two then waiting is powerful enough if they are trying to stay on the down low. Their main goal would presumably be to survive until they can build numbers a little bit first.

    Okay, so I'm being FoSed because I speculated there may only be one 3P which is apparently either (a) knowing too much or (b) deliberately deceptive. How it can possibly be both, I don't know?

    Yet you're sat here giving a full breakdown of potential win conditions and game mechanics and that doesn't come across as knowing too much?

    Someone else fingered you for knowing too much, my suspicions arose from you seeming quite certain only 1 3rd party existed (and for repeatedly using the logic that 3rd party wouldn't know of each other which just isn't true in some cases). But of course both can be possible. If you are 3rd party and have no one else/an independent win condition, you may have (either rightly or wrongly, time will tell I guess?) assumed you were the only one. And if you knew you weren't the only one, you could be deceiving town. I am of the opinion it is the latter, as I have repeatedly stated.

    And I gave a breakdown of how you (apparently) approached your 3+1 assertion, as well as how a standard cultist mechanic may work if it existed in the game, which is a possibility. The evidence of such a role lies solely in how you've been behaving, which I feel is suspicious and suggestive of a cover up.

    There's a difference between you saying there is a certain breakdown of roles and that town would get another chance to lynch in the future vs. me assuming the breakdown of roles in deciding whether lynching would be prudent today.

    I also don't think it's entirely unreasonable to think that a 3rd party would know how many scum members there are, at least depending on what their win condition is...

    I'd like to hear from Howe too given he's said nothing all day so far, but we need to come to a decision soon. We can just about afford a no lynch but it's rough from there.

    If a lynch hasn't passed by 12am tonight/tomorrow I'll extend it to around 11am on the 3rd. That is a hard deadline though (11am), I will not extend it any further.

    If the next couple of hours are quiet though then I won't extend the day, however.

    It's exactly the same! It was an assumption and is also reliant on there only being one night kill (and no town-sided night killing ability either).

    I'm going to lynch AVA. He jumped on my tongue-in-cheek fos of Baxter and has tried to pull it into something other than a RL with the kind of fake certainty you get from a maf.

    You accused him of being mafia, I'm mainly interested in the fact that he might be 3rd party (with no level of certainty I might add). Hence why I stated that he was my go to as a RL, nothing more. The fact that he has just thrown "No U" back at Lukic and then myself is why I've kept the lynch going.

    He’s currently 3/6 atm. Certainly don’t think this is a surefire lynch but with a lack of reports and the possibility that both our cop and doc are dead we need info. Still think he needs to claim or least address why he doesn’t want to. There’s still the likelihood of something like a watcher out there if he’s a valuable town role.
