Does anyone really want to be a Viper? Is there any appeal to the club and would any of the top crop of players want to go there at any stage? This isn't meant to be a troll thread, I'm just trying to work out if there's any real point to them being here.
The Vipers just cannot attract the top players. They'll continue mid-ladder due to their decent players but they lack star quality and will always lack star quality.
Probably answered your own question. It doesn't attract top players, but it's a club that gives fringe first graders the chance to develop into front-line stars. With the Lions gone they're probably the main club left to do that.
We'l be up there next season I reckon. The only reason we've been so dire this season is weakness in key areas. Fix those (which we've almost done) and we'l be up there.
