Ty Williams is a black guy, yes.

He's a decent winger without being too great IMO. Would be better for the Cowboys if Gallant played fullback - dumb move to go away from the Tigers to play reggies.

  2. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

    :shocking:

  3. Julian BJ Taylor

    Team: Parramatta Eels

    Predicted Finish:
    8th

    Best 17:

    1. Jarryd Hayne
    2. Luke Burt
    3. Timana Tahu
    4. Joel Reddy
    5. Krisnan Inu/Eric Grothe
    6. Daniel Mortimer
    7. Jeff Robson
    8. Nathan Cayless
    9. Matt Keating
    10. Justin Poore
    11. Nathan Hindmarsh
    12. Ben Smith
    13. Feleti Mateo

    14. Fui Fui MoiMoi
    15. Shane Shackleton
    16. Tim Mannah
    17. Kris Keating

    Strengths:
It lies in two pretty obvious places for this team. The attacking brilliance and unpredictability of Hayne and Mateo and their front row (counting their top 4/5 props). The addition of Poore and Shackleton should improve their go forward and grunt up front outside of Moi Moi and Cayless. If their best props stay fit all year and maintain form (pretty much inevitable for Cayless at least) then they should give room to Mateo and Hayne to work their magic. Having these two creators not in the halves takes tonnes of pressure off the shoulders of Mortimer, Robson and the Keatings making their job easier and them more dangerous as players. Their backline is really very good as well and Tahu if he plays like he used to will be a big bonus.

    Weaknesses:
They may seem few and far between but in their entire first grade squad they only have Hindmarsh, Smith, Mateo and Shackleton who are proven NRL backrowers and most teams use a lot more than 4 backrowers in a season. Their forward depth as a whole is really quite poor and a couple of injuries could really hurt them. One would also think that depth is needed in the forwards moreso than in the backs. Mateo is a gun, but being one of only 4 tested backrowers is a bit of a gamble because he's definitely not a workhorse and him at lock + Robson and Mortimer all defending at the same time could equal some very, very ordinary and soft defence. This is somewhat countered by the centres though, it must be said. The jury is still out on the halves as well. Mortimer may be a star too most but he has a long way to go and has to step up as the number one playmaker this year. Hayne's defence at fullback is still questionable at times also.

    Key Player:
Kris Keating. If he is to be used like Kingston last year he has to provide spark and consistency from the dummy half role. Also, if he slots into the halves, he has to gel immediately with his partner for the club to continue winning.

    Breakout/Surprise Player:
Justin Horo to have a real dig in the backrow when ben Smith gets injured.
Can they make the top 8/4? Yes/Yes

  4. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

They should've kept Big Joe, he was the man at Parra, probably their most consistent player across the whole season.

  5. Julian BJ Taylor

    Fair call Emm.

  6. AVA T Delonge

Yeah, really dissapointed we couldn't keep him.

  7. Paddy P Orr

Depth perhaps, if someone gets injured. Cant see any of the backs other then maybe Tonga being considered for Origin anyway.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Tonga will play origin.

  9. SM MD Dorn

always thought Fuifui was one word tbh

  10. Paddy P Orr

Tonga was superb for the most part, on Friday night.

Bolton was also extremely impressive, I thought.

Williams is shit and should go and play in traffic. I hate him like poison.

They didn't even want Williams and only signed the useless prick at a fraction of his regular price. Gallant meanwhile sits in reserve grade.

    Here's a clip of hilarity I made - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLLMAuqJH6I

  12. Magic AJ Parker

Thought you were talking about John Willaims for a second there who on a side note is much better than his brother.

  13. Andato BJT Manera

Agree with Magic. John is a much better player.

I wouldn't say John is much better than David. David Williams is just shamefully overrated and one of the most disgraceful ARL selections in history IMO - Playing Test RL after 20 FG matches and not proving himself at SOO, which evidently he's failed at so far.

John Williams is decent, I wonder why the Cows re-signed Ty still.

Are you still doing these Julian or have you scrapped them due to the season starting.
