England won the toss and opted to bat.

    10 overs: England 57/0

The CricSim new ball attack suffered at the hands of Alex Hales and Moeeen Ali, who made a bright start to England's campaign.

    20 overs: England 90/0

CricSim were able to pull back the run scoring a little as the spinners came on, and James getting his act together after a change of ends, but were unable to fnd the breakthrough.

    30 overs: England 150/1

After Supple Dong was hit for 16 in an over, things looked pretty grim for the CricSim bowlers. At last the breakthrough arrived at the hands of Tom Delonge, the part timer getting Moeen Ali lbw in his second over.

    40 overs: England 202/2

As Alex Hales continued to hammer the bowling and advance twards a hundred, Cricsim at least found success at the other end, with Dyer returning to pick up the wicket of Root.

    50 overs: England 269/8

Despite Hales' ton, Dyer was on a roll and single-handedly dragged CricSim back into the game. After Bairstow and Buttler were caught at slip in the same over, Morgan was bowled trying to hit the left-armer out of the ground, and in Dyer's next over he completed his five-for with the wicket of Stokes.

With England collapsing, James was able to get a bit more control at the other end and joined in with the scalp of Rashid and - finally - Hales, who departed for an outstanding 127. David Willey was able to add some sheen to the England score in the final over off Dong, and CricSim were set 270 to win.

I'm kind of dying to know which real life player Delonge is, but I also feel like it'd break the immersion too much.

I'm definitely not going to reveal who anyone is, but can assure you he is a specialist batsman with less than 5 ODI wickets. There's no reason for him to make breakthroughs at all which is why I'm finding it hilarious.

    10 overs: CricSim 62/1

The Cricsim openers got of to a hot start in their chase, Mahmathlai taking the lead to progress to 27 at a run-a-ball before popping the ball back to Mark Wood for a well-taken caught and bowled. Tom Delonge came it at 3 and got off the mark with a frim square drive for four.

    20 overs: CricSim 109/4

Matt James completed a powerful fifty with three boundaries in a row, but Ben Stokes upset the CricSim chase with a double strike, removing both set batsmen. As Wood and Morgan tried to consolidate, Morgan failed to pick Rashid's wrong'un and was adjudged lbw.

    30 overs: CricSim 173/4

Bobby Hawke arriving at the crease jumped-started the chase with a fluid set of boundaries, and after the quiet Oscar Wood broke the shackles with a six off Rashid, the pair built a strong partnership to get the innings back on track.

    40 overs: CricSim 220/4 - CricSim require 50 runs off 60 balls

Too fucking good. Even with the failure with the bat I saved the game with that wicket. He was getting ready to run away with it.

If only there was a frontline fast bowler that would have been so much easier, good job by the boys carrying the heavy weight of bad selectors.
