Also Corbisiero turned that match around. He was so good.

    Good to see SA win.
Don't forget, its a new look SA team too. No Bakkies Botha, Victor Matfield, John Smit(good thing), didn't have Brussouw, Fourie du Preez. So not half bad.

Oh and no Schalk Burger either.

Whilst in Canada, it was good to see a fair few column inches in the papers about their match against Italy (which at the time was still to be played) 13th in the World vs. 14th the papers said. Italy only have(had?) a 4 - 2 record against the Canadians too. Certainly seems to be gaining some traction in North America.

As you may or may not know I lived in Canada. The game is well supported and is played by born and bred Canadians. The major thing about their play is that they don't read the game well. Or at least that is my impression because they don't take the same options as NZ players would.

I saw Gareth Rees play live and he was good enough to be an AB.

Just like the Lions join several countries together - I have always wanted the US and Canada to join together for certain tours and to host better teams to tour them. It would be good for the game.

Getting Canadians and Americans to join together would be a very hard task though. :p

It does certainly have quite a following over there. I was surprised on my travels to Canada over various summers at how big it actually is over there.

It is quite a popular place for tours nowadays for Scottish teams too. While I know Scotland isn't the greatest it is still good for them to be exposed to more experienced rugbying nations. Not sure if the British countries clubs go over too.

when i was in the states last year during the last weeks of pool play/1/4s and semis of the RWC i was surprised to see that one of the papers there had a little bit on the ABs beating the aussies in their semi

also at the airport going over was talking to an american who had come over to support his team, was good to see really

As Frizzed has been kind enough to point out to me on a couple of occasions, some USA rugby players are starting to be picked up by the NFL too. I guess that has a few positives and negatives for rugby in the USA.

I'm sure rugby gets more NFL players than vice versa.

well more like college players not good enough for the nfl, rather than nfl players themselves

Listening to talk back today. People were complaining about our 2nd phase posession where we would spin it wide only to have a forward standing out in the middle of the back line who would ruin the movement by just catching the pass and then just running straight at the opposition at 10 mph and setting up another ruck usually behind the advantage line. Really forwards should just stand back a bit and let the backs get the ball when it is spun out towards the wing.

How feasable do you reckon giving Canadia a World Cup would be?

And don't sell us short, we're flying the flag for Northern Hemisphere rugby at the moment. :D

How suitable are American Football fields for playing rugby on?

If that happens, I reckon I'd go [to Canada] to watch some of the tournament.

EDIT: ANZAC test seems a bloody good idea too.

Given Japan's locked in for 2019 I'd prefer to see one of the major nations host the 2023 version. Argentina would be good and it'd be a shame if South Africa has to wait too long for another hosting gig.
