    Black water in the books was what made you realise Tyrion is a legit genius, they would have lost the battle if not for him.
    In the show he just did what Cersei was already planning.

    The main plot point stood, but that battle changed things in the books that it won't in the show.


    Yes it's being picky, and probably won't change much in the scheme of things, but it's still annoying.

    yeah the book litteraly has 100s of characters, pretty much every family that exists plays apart in some small way, theres no way the series can include them all

    No he didn't. Cersei and Joffery were going to launch the pots of it from catapults. Bronn pointed out it was a shit idea.

    Tyrion still showed he was a mastermind by using it much more effectively. (even moreso than the books tbph)

    The wildfire was going to be effective regardless of the chain or not. The chain simply made sure nothing was making it out into the bay. (and ensuring the vast majority of the royal fleet burned as well.)

    Blowing up Stannis' fleet in the bay works just as well. And doing so at the cost of not a single Royal ship shows just as much, if not more intelligence.
