Oh yeah totally. If Slater didn't drop that ball that New Zealand didn't score off Australia would definitely have won.
True, that last comment was me just unable to resist having a bit of a dig. Still, I have no idea how the Aus RL side manages to lose matches, considering the monoply australia has on world rugby league.
Oh yes, I remember that. I thought it would have gone out too personally. It was an unlucky bounce. That said, you pick Slater because of his risk taking play and x-factor. That's what makes him great.
Yeah, fully agreed. Lockyer hasn't really played five-eighth at any level for two years now IMO - he's completely transformed his game to be a genuine organiser. Massive credit to him for doing that after losing so much of his running game, but we can't pick him next to Cronk. Needed to have Prince or Carney. So many on this forum said it before and during the series as well.
Are you serious? The ball didn't even look like it was going to go out. Any other fullback would've attacked that ball and he would have too in any other game, he just cracks under pressure it was completely stupid. People used to always question, "oh why don't we pick Bowen or Slater at fullback they score tries nd stuff lol, why always Hunt or Stewart?" ****ing facepalm! **** i hate him, he even does little shit alot like this in club games that nobody really pays much attention to. He is ****ing shit he is in the same league as SKD, Hohaia, Vatuvei. He is one of the few reasons why QLD might even lose he doesn't deserve to be there when everybody knows Boyd is ten times the representative player he will ever be.
Hayne's mistakes are just random, he doesn't fold under pressure. Definitely pick him if there's no Thurston imo otherwise I'd go with Boyd.
Hayne is poor in many defensive areas, making him a much bigger liability than Slater IMO. And with his attack, while it can be extremely damaging, he only seems to do anything for about 5-10 minutes total a match.
Yeah. No doubt. I used to be one of the biggest haters of Slater but I'd still pick him tomorrow. I just really wish that he'd learn the right and wrong time to take the risks. I also think that once he ****s up once, you can pretty much count on another **** up within 10 minutes.
Nah, he is consistently solid in attack in most games. It's just he is expected to do something amazing every time he gets the ball, so his attacking game is massively underrated by people on here.
