Archer definitely had a shocker. The Bird push should have been a penalty to us, that was pretty ridiculous.
Nah Bird was being a dirty **** all night, love him but he got what he deserved (a penalty plus a bit of kiss).
If Jeremy Smith had the ball it would have been play on. You could give Bird the benefit of the doubt that he didn't know. If Jeremy Smith didn't react, it would have been play on too. He went up and started bashing him and got a penalty for it.
Didn't even look like he was getting the ball and Bird didn't even try to tackle him like he thought he was about to get it, he just shoved him while running through.
Difference in the end imo was no Thurston or rather no creative outlet for Australia, reckon Lockyer is gonna cop the majority of it too and he might of just played his last test...
I thought we really lacked creativity without a Thurston or a Prince. My player ratings out of 10, for the Australians... 1.Slater - 5 2.Morris - 6 3.Tate - 6 4.Tonga - 5.5 5.Tuqiri - 5 6.Lockyer - 5 7.Cronk - 6.5 8.Scott - 8 9.Smith - 7 10.Shillington - 7 11.Lewis - 6 12.Thaiday - 7 13.Gallen - 7 14.Gidley - 5 15.Myles - 6.5 16.TLL - 6.5 17.Bird - 8 Lewis and Tate's ratings were lower due to their half games. Edit - Agree with Magic, above.
Even though I still think Rabs's call about Marshall being the best player in the world, was rubbish, I thought he was best on ground tonight.
Gallen again was solid. Player of the series, imo. Cronk was shithouse the entire series. Tuqiri, lol. Slater, lol. Two major naffs in positions in that one bloke could have filled. Sheens, lol.
Gallen wasn't better than Scott or Bird. Games against PNG mean nothing. And, actually, Lewis was better than Gallen as well IMO.
