Football World Draft (20 years)

Yeah, I actually agree that the advantages and disadvantages cancel each other out, but it's still very different picking from the middle and the ends. Which shouldn't be the case. The order should have as minimal an impact as possible - ideally, everyone would have the exact same experience, but that obviously isn't possible. Randomising it every 2 rounds is the closest we can get.

I don't really know what you mean ITBT. I'm suggesting a snake draft..

The best type is like that in cpl cricket draft

    Order then reverse
    Change the order then reverse

    Etc

But is it important to have no one disadvantaged, or an exactly the same methodology? What I'm saying is that the current system doesn't advantage anyone due to the disadvantages and stuff cancelling out, and whilst your idea does make the actual process similar for anyone, it isn't crucial if mouse doesn't want to do it due to effort and whatnot.

This is what I am suggesting.

If you're better at drafting at the ends and you're at the end then you're sorted. I know I'm much worse at drafting at the end, and I'll feel like I'm at a disadvantage for the entire draft, because of this.

If effort is the only problem mouse has with it, I'll do it all myself and screenshot everything.

Well that much is up to mouse. I still reckon it's part of the parcel and stuff - but have no qualms either way.

I've had time to think about it and I've decided to take Eds advice and randomsie the draft every two rounds

So after that confusion, Lionel Messi.

But this is the wrong thread. So I shall do it in the other one.

Bit unsure as to my pick, settled on Ronaldinho though. Never seen anyone like him in his prime - really had a bag of magic tricks.

Yeah Ronaldinho was absolutely ridiculous in his prime. Grew up watching him.

Between 2002-2006 he was one of if not the greatest players in the world

So just to confirm; we can pick anyone who has played a game in 1992 or after, even if they, say, started in 1980 and finished in 1993?

  13. Eds E Ames

    Yeah that's right.

  14. mouse MJ Edwards

Yeah, and people will then judge the players on their whole career

    OK, cheers guys.

Paul Scholes fourth pick, wouldn't have guessed that...

    toe punt imo.

I did consider going for a more "flashier" sort of player but decided against it. Going for my favourites instead and Scholes is perfect for the kind of team I want to build.

Wondered how long Maradona would last. Fifth pick - really?!

    Scholes>Maradona?
