    With how AFL crazy the Tassie locals are and how much they want a team, yes I think it would.
    I honestly believe the only reason they don't have one is the AFL are more interested in trying to get money out of areas that don't already buy merchandise. club membership and travel to games etc.

    The TV revenue they could gain by establishing themselves in WS and GC is comparatively massive as well. People in Tassie already watch, the other areas don't.

    Afl isn't as popular down there as everyone thinks, it is like saying "yeah everyone in Brisbane loves league and they all support the Broncos"

    Everytime I go down there they always seem fanatical about it, I seen one rugby ground so far, just outside of Hobart, the only sport that seems to be telecast or in print media is AFL. The locals love talking about it. Sorry if I got the wrong impression :yawn:
