Yeah you're a real clever and funny bastard, Furball.

I have no qualms switching allegiances to/from an English soccer team. I'm a rugby man after all and not an armchair football hooligan like you.

I switched because I can now get to affordable Premier league football games within walking distance from home. About 5km away...so an 18 min jog for me. Will also be fun to support an underdog for a change.

i got a bit tired of Chelsea winning everything.

What's the issue with Fiery switching to his local side? He's even admitted he's not that into football. Plus he's switching to a team most likely to get relegated. I have a friend who grew up a Newcastle supporter... but given he couldn't really be much further from them he switched his allegiance to Argyle after going to numerous home games a- now he doesn't even follow the Premiership that much but remains a massive football fan.

Just finding things to fight about in a good thread. It's dire as fuck

It is the second time you've tried to abuse me about changing clubs tbf. The first time you got the mod hammer and your post was removed. Nice try again champ.

I once supported Bolton for about 2 weeks when I was 12, I think they were upcoming at the time and Utd were too busy being far too good for anyone else, Altrincham were lounging in the Conference still, Macclesfield too, so I gave Notlob a go. I'd never been to there at that point (never went to the shitty north side of Manchester, far too posh for those places), which is the only defence I can give.

Also had a soft spot for Preston for a while, until I worked there. Wouldn't recommend the place.

Keep an eye out for Morecambe results, because although the place is a piss-addled walking graveyard, it is where my mum and sister have decided to live. Step dad is a devoted fan, but as he married my mum I can see why he'd waste his Saturday on them, its slightly less masochistic.

I was born in Gateshead, and have supported the 'Heed' since I was old enough to go to games, however in my early Teen years, myself and my mates started going regularly to Newcastle games home and away and mAde a lot of new friends thT way and also followed Newcastle ever since then and hold a Newcastle season ticket now.

Funny thing is though, with all the Mike Ashley shit and general mediocrity at Newcastle over the last few years, I have stArted to go back to the Gateshead games and enjoy the purer nature of the game and watching local lads getting stuck in every week.

Nice, though Gateshead's stadium is terrible :p

Dunno how all the European clubs put up with tracks around their pitches, takes the atmosphere away imo.

Were you there for the Tranmere game? :D

Nice, I've followed Maccelsfield & Alty as well as United. I've been to more United games but I occasionally go to the aforementioned two as they are both 15-20 minute drives.

Was going to head down to Alty last week and laugh at GIMH's lot but I was too broke. Not been in years. Went to school down the road in Hale so many a weekend was spent playing and watching footie in Alty.
Trafford are the non league club that gets my viewing time when I can be arsed, but as I don't live next door to the ground anymore I haven't bothered in an age. Still have fond memories of throwing things at Carlo Nash's head when he played for Clitheroe against us. Wasn't a youth wasted, that's for sure.

Gateshead's stadium is pretty sweet. For the average Joe to play at I mean.

Duncan Watmore is making his U21 debut tonight, he's been pretty wasted at Sunderland

Ivanovic really should be dropped. I think it's only a matter of time before Mourinho brings in Baba Rahman at LB and move Azpi over to the right.

    2-0 down to Everton

    what a goal

Yeah Matic WAG. No one expected him to have a crack there.

    Money can't buy you Stones

Desperate for Everton to hold on here. Reckon Chelsea are looking ominous at the moment though so it wouldn't be a surprise if they leveled it or even won.

Barkley is very good, can't see him staying at Everton long.

Yeah, really hope Everton can hold on. Coleman holding his hamstring there, this could be costly for Everton. Big test for debutant Funes Mori.
