Why is there so much more stoppage time in the Premier League compared with other leagues? I find it's rare when watching foreign leagues to see any more than 3 minutes signalled. In England 4 minutes stoppage time seems to be the bog standard.

I liked no stoppage time despite four goals at Dortmund yesterday. I prefer the English way though. Dortmund-Malaga last year was a farce when it came to stoppage time.
