    Night Zero
    Tension was high on the streets. Rumours of martial law being declared in certain restive regions were rife, suspicion was high. Some people were openly defying the Stasi, Securitate or KGB. Fresh graffiti adorned monuments to Lenin. It was a strange time to be in Eastern Europe.

    To his detractors, he was known as General Zomosa, but that name firmly demonstrated his strength. He had contacts throughout the Eastern Bloc and was able to exercise considerable influence. He called his Hungarian counterpart and told him that there was a dissident in the country whose departure would be in everybody's best interests. He offered his own crack riot squad to apprehend this individual.

    In a corner bar in downtown Budapest, a middle-aged lawyer stood drinking warm shots of Unicum whilst sharing plans with some other conspirators. 'Egészségére!' went the group as they clinked glasses and drunk their digestivs. It was then that the squad smashed their way in. The group were dragged away, and were never seen again.

    I think the unrest mechanic puts time on our side, so we should be less inclined than usual to randomly denounce. If nobody has anything strong to go on I'm happy to not denounce.

    I also think we want to reach comparable levels of unrest in the different states, so that it's harder to predict where we'll be at the end of the game.
