Been listening to live recordings of a couple of songs that will be on the new Offspring album this year. Days Go By and The Future is Now. Must say in light of my recent rant about writing songs you can't sing, it's nice to see Dexter can sing these two songs.

Been listening to R.E.M. recently. Losing My Religion is an awesome song. Always listen to it just before bed for some reason.

Turnpike Troubadours uploaded a couple of new tracks from their upcoming album, listening to them at the moment, and sounds like this album will be their best yet.

Mastodon Leviathan album. Much more progressive album then their debut Remission. I love all the Mastodon albums.

Heard about the Riot Grrl movement of the mid 90s the other day and after reading some more nutcase anti-abortion and anti-sex ed articles today I'm checking out some bands.

Bikini Kill:wub: love girls singing punk rock. Sounds awesome. The lyrics wouldn't go down well at all on this forum I'd imagine (think of Riot Grrl bands as the Gamblers nemises) but cool to listen to a new perspective.

Why does everyone hate Phil Collins? He's a legend.

Pink - Just Like A Pill. One of my friends have been really into this song and I've just caught the bug, or should I say, taken the pill. Enjoyin it.

I don't know about The Future is Now, but I know with Days Go By it's not an issue of Dexter being able to write songs he can't sing, it's in issue of Dave Grohl writing songs he can't sing. That song sounds just like Times Like These by Foo Fighters.

They completely changed the riff, thankfully.

The only real copy that's ever made it to an album, and it was a filthy filthy copy, was Rise and Fall (American Idiot). Such a shit ending to RAFRAG.

Never really noticed that until you pointed it out. At least with Rise and Fall the vocals aren't similar to American Idiot, like Days Go By. Still it's a decent album so I'm sure they can be forgiven.

There is a version of Wild Horses out there that gets a fair bit of AirPlay. I always thought it was another version by the Stones themselves, but now I am not so sure.

It is sung by a bloke and it is more keys and fretless bass driven than other versions, sounds like it is late 80s early 90s era. Anyone know the one I am talking about and who sang it?

    Cheers.

I really like the artwork, I'll be sure to have Offspring on my radar now.

Just finished my first listen on Jack White's album. The first half is a solid garage rock/modern blues rock album, but the second half things kind of get jazzy and experimental and it turns into an incredible album.
