So I'm listening to the two released songs that will be on the upcoming Offspring album.

Days Go By is a tune. Bit different from what they usually do, which is good, but I'm listening to Cruising California as I type..

What. The. Fuck. Am. I. Listening. To?

Dexter said in an interview it's about his hometown and a bit of a parody of some current lyric trends at the same time. I can't decide whether this is the ballsiest thing they have written or the most ridiculous.

    They wrote a mainstream rap/pop song.

Katy Perry wishes she wrote Cruising California. Watch it go straight to no.1 everywhere.

First single off of Gaslight Anthem's new album was released today. Disgusting safe radio friendly rock. A pop punk version of Pearl Jam. Brian Fallon has gone and taken a giant shit on everything that has made me claim these boys were the greatest thing to have happened to modern rock music. Piss poor whiney pop-punk high pitched vocals, on top of exceedingly cheesy lyrics and standard musicianship .

Cypress Hill Black Sunday album. Always liked this CD just not many knew I liked anything other then just metal.

Getting back into them. They've always been pretty much my 2nd fav band after Weezer (early Weezer at least, back when they were relevant).

Never been a huge Streetlight Manifesto fan, but listen to them on occasion. I'd love to see them live as the ska-punk bands I have seen live always put on the best shows.

I went through a 3rd Wave Ska phase in high school, things like Reel Big Fish, Catch 22 etc. and Streetlight Manifesto was far and away the best I've heard. Their first album is just like Weezer's Blue for me, I never get sick of it.

Yeah Reel Big Fish were one of those live bands I was referring to. Have seen them twice and really enjoyed it even though the only two RBF songs I listen to on a regular basis are Beer and Don't Start A Band. Streelight Manifesto are playing a lot of nearby shows in the summer, I should really make an effort to get to one of them.

Are you a fan of Less Than Jake?

Yeah, I had one of their albums as well. "Johny Quest thinks we're sell outs". Didn't like them much though. Same with Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the singers voice was weird. I did also like Sublime though.

i know you guys don't like aussie hip hop much but illy and m-phazes have got an awesome concept where you suggest song's to them for the them to 'flip'. not rap songs, any songs other then rap or hip hop and the person who suggests the song they pick gets a free signed illy t-shirt. i suggested seven nation army ^ so i get my shirt some time next week :).

Since I have recently moved house, I managed to have a clear out and get some of my older music together.

I have been listening to Metallica: Ride The Lightning over the weekend and also Gun 'n' Roses Use Your Illusion albums.

These albums just get better with age IMO.
