It clearly wouldn't work. I can see it working if you were willing to give someone your database though. I could probably do it with a bit of a tuition but I'm 90% certain to take up full time employment in the coming days that will see my activity drop considerably.
Yeah but I wouldn't do that anyway. It's not just that I don't want to sim this; it's that I don't want it to actually be run at all. I have no problem with a draft for fun though.
Can you explain to me your reason for this? If it wasn't to go onto any records, is it just that you don't want anyone accessing ya database? Like, whoever simmed them could just keep it to one thread or something. I just don't see why you don't like the idea if it requires such little effort on your part - simply sending the database to someone.
I don't think people could help but actually factor it in to debates of which players were better, brag in proper CricSim threads if they did well in it etc - people wouldn't separate it from real CricSim enough IMO. I find the idea of a drafted First Class competition when there already is a First Class competition completely unrealistic - it doesn't happen anywhere in the world and hence I don't want it on CricSim. There's a precedent and logic behind separate Twenty20 franchises with a draft but I don't see why a domestic structure would have a drafted five-day competition. I like to have things a certain way and keep everything fairly realistic within the general framework of CricSim being a cricket-playing nation with a domestic structure; I'm sure everyone's noticed that by now.
