Who'd be interested? Just a brainchild atm so this is just to gather interest. Would be similar to CPL NZ. If it goes ahead at least half the spots are already filled and it's not first in best dressed.
If you do it the same way we did the NZ one you can only have 10 or so teams. So if you need someone to PM picks to you can hit me up.
Would be keen (even though I'm a NZer that knows shit all about Aussie cricket) I missed out on CPL NZ.
No offence but it is aimed more at Aussies who follow Shield and would be interested. No definites at all yet though.
Personally I'd like a 10 team comp but I don't know whether it would work with who would compete. For instance...it'd mean we'd have to find 20 opening batsmen and 4 reserve keepers. I'd be fine with it, and I really like the idea of thinning out the quality across the squads, but I don't know if it'd work. Thoughts?
If test players are included, it pretty much gives us 77 regular first choice players. We'd be able to find another 23. Criteria should just be any Australian though I reckon.
- Don't want Aussies who don't play in Australia. - Don't want well and truly retired blokes like Hayden, Gilchrist etc involved. - I'd like players still playing domestically but not first class involved though; ie Brad Hodge.
Just make it anyone with a current state or Australian contract then. That does mean we can't pick grade cricket hacks though.
