Time to welcome my 7th pick, Chris Rogers. Good to get such a prolific first class opener so late on.

  2. Julian BJ Taylor

I hate Prince, but like the look of the rest of the side.

Looking at his first class record, it was a bit of a dud third round pick. You can't doubt his class though. I've got some big decisions to make for my next pick. It will probably ride on where I am in the next draft order.

I never rated Ashwell at all.

Always thought he kept better (unchosen) picks out og the team.

  7. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Good idea.

  8. Ged GEC King

Yeah ****. Because you invented the idea.

  9. Julian BJ Taylor

Just copied it. **** Mendis' record is immense.

  10. Ged GEC King

Yeah. It was much lower at one stage, iirc, too. Like 13 or 15 or something?
Mendis was a prolific wicket-taker for Sri Lanka Army in the 2007-08 season and had taken 46 wickets at an average of 10.56

His FC average was ten when he made his ODI debut. I started a thread about it when it happened.. think it was on Old CricSim.

Yeah I remember that ad I couldn't believe it at the time. Lots of Sri Lanka spinners have great records because of the pitches though.

  13. Ged GEC King

    Welcome to the team, Hopesy.

  14. Ged GEC King

My team's really taken shape now. Just need a keeper and a number 6 batsman.

  15. Ged GEC King

My most risky pick by far. Yuvraj only has a fc average of 43 in a pretty batting dominated domestic comp but I'm hoping his average of 35 in tests will help him out a bit. Also, batting at 6 behind my batting line up, I reckon that he might just be able to give me a bit of an x factor.

  16. Ged GEC King

I'm pretty happy with how the team's turned out.

  17. Julian BJ Taylor

Andre Adams > Jerome Taylor IMO.

  18. Ged GEC King

    As an opening bowler though?

  19. Ged GEC King

Squad with fc averages, test averages in bold.
    1. Chris Rogers (50.89, 9.50)
    2. Tharanga Paranavitana (42.00, 30.22, 31.50, 59.00)
    3. Shane Watson (45.67, 26.43, 29.26, 37.21)
    4. David Hussey (55.20)
    5. Ashwell Prince (44.75, 47.29)
    6. Yuvraj Singh (43.30, 35.56, 47.83, 45.14)
    7. Lanka De Silva (41.07, 18.00, wicket keeper)
    8. James Hopes (30.52, 32.36)
    9. Jerome Taylor (13.80, 16.34, 26.62, 35.55)
    10. Ishant Sharma (9.72, 11.83, 26.03, 33.15)
    11. Ajantha Mendis (11.59, 5.16, 17.38, 25.66)
    12. Andre Adams (23.80, 9.00, 24.05, 17.50)

All in all, I have a really young squad. A lot of the blokes don't have a great test record but that's partly due to most having played less than a handful of tests. Really happy with the squad all in all.

Team is completed. I suppose it's time to unveil our logo and teamsong.
