It's shit how at the time of losing him I was just like ah well, a bit of a blow to our ALC side yet now he'd definitely be starting the season in firsts.
He averaged 65 in the ALC last season and he's averaging about 45 in offseason cricket; he deserves his chance. Whether he takes it or not is just guesswork but, unlike when the Lions kept picking him in first for no reason other than his postcount, his deserves a chance now.
He played one game and scored 50 and 1. Not bad for someone on rep debut who had played the entire season in ALC, tbh.
tbf with the Lions, they had an absolutely dire batting lineup and Taylor way underachieved until last year. They had a right to pick him, even if it was based on nothing.
If we're talking players who are yet to spend a full season in firsts, I think that Morgan will rape shit up this season. We need him to, too.
DWTA strongly. They had ****s like Wells sitting in reserve grade averaging 45 and picked Taylor. Was always a poor selection. No surprises that when he finally stopped getting picked in first grade at the drop of a hat, he actually dominated ALC cricket for a full season.
Haha, we couldn't even **** you over by leaving him out of first grade because then we'd probably just pick Jackson (another Kiwi) and move Rusty to 3. A recall for Bannerman or Robertson instead, IMO.
