Should the be played at the away sides home ground? Dunno if it's been suggested before, but it's a lot more realistic than all teams playing the round at the same ground.
But that is just babying them into it. ALC has become a much higher level than what it was. This style would also help with selections seeing players perform on different pitches.
Neautral is better because it means everyone has a chance of getting something out of the game, which suits ALC.
It's definitely not going to happen. You may now commence a pointless 14-page argument over whether you think it should, but it won't. It's been suggested before, and it'll be suggested again, but it won't happen. I'd sooner scrap pitch variation in the BS tbh.
I think its fine as it is. As Callum said it gives everyone a chance to get something out of the game.
I can see Cribb's point of view in making sure players can develop in ALC and not getting screwed early on in their playing days, however Boob makes a good point, especially in relation to selection issues. I suppose it depends on which is more important.
What do you mean selection issues. There shouldn't be any selection issues for the ALC other than people moving up and down grades. You don't have that many players in your team to allow changes for pitch variation. If you somehow did, it would usually mean someone inactive would come in for someone active because the pitch suited them more - which would be dire.
It's not the deep end. ALC is shallow. I'm not going to argue over it, it's not something I really want to happen. I was just suggesting something which I thought might be an improvement, stop taking things as an attack on your all mighty opinion on how things are meant to be run.
Yeah, agreed. Selecting ALC is about picking on activity, not skill. Pitches would change that, would be dire.
