I have awarded the new franchise to the Gamblers RFC. Their bid was the best; bringing new players to the sim and not decimating one single existing club. The other two bids were both solid, but lacking in particular areas. My one concern with the Gamblers' bid was the lack of real Union expertise, but this was also lacking in the 2 other bids.
I am willing to confirm that Seahawks were one of them. I was pretty happy with my bid but I knew I was always going to be on the outer seeing as I have next to know Union knowledge. I was going to be relying on someone else's point of view and needed someone to be my wing man. That in itself would have been hard to attract. Good work Benny and Good Luck with everything!
Seahacks - Professional (well, professional by Cricsim standards) bid, but Hughesy self-confessed RU amateur and his support was lacking in substance versus t'other bids Tarty - Another solid bid, with some solid names behind it. Would pretty much destroy the competition's weakest club as things stand. I was most concerned that I'd bring in a new franchise only to see the demise of an existing one.
If losing like 3 or 4 players would destroy the team then the clubs fucked anyway. There's only a limited number of teams to sign from, they're gonna lose cunts.
This is fair, but your bid did take pretty much their three best players. Personally reckon that you should just take over the Vikings :ninja:
I reckon the Gamblers will turn out to be a total flop as a SR club. Hope I am wrong though. I reckon a big problem that the 5th team faced was that most of the big SR members/players have strong ties to existing clubs already and wouldn't have wanted to give that up.
