I think it is more to do with not making it a more challenging defensive effort for Tupou.

Morris played right side in the Test match didn't he?

He's done it before in the past as well.

Surely it's the preferred side for a right hand carrier anyway...

sure did, played there in the world cup too as boyd was on the left side

Been saying for years that Brett Morris is a right side player, playing out of position. Carries in his right hand.

Besides Hoffman its the best team we have had in years. We will win the series this year.

Reckon QLD under 6.5 tries for 1.06 is great value but I just can't make a bet like that. It would involve hoping QLD don't score at times. Fuck that. Blues under 5.5 for 1.03 is okay so I might go that.

Would you get better odds if it was under 5.01? :lady:

Fuck making 3 cents for 100 cents risk on anything.

I once bet like $1500 to win $16.

    Why?

If you have $1500 to lose, you don't need $16.

Was bored. It was basically free money. Might as well be mine.

It's a shame Folau left the NRL. Would've been interesting to see him vs Tupou marking each other.

Tamou and Woods must start fast. They get stopped in their tracks and NSW will not win. Bird's absence and the reshuffle of Gallen to lock means a bigger pack but not necessarily more go-forward. Typically, games over the last few years in Brisbane have been decided in the first 20 minutes. Both sides will be looking to start on fire.

I'm a bit worried about Tate defending Tupou under the high ball. It's important that Hodkinson and Reynolds are on target. It's also important that it isn't their primary source for points. If they simply bide their time for cross-field bombs because they can't manufacture with the ball in hand, they risk becoming predictable and giving up cheap field position with 20m restarts. Kicking is going to be vital.

Say it every year: If QLD win the forward battle, we win. If NSW win the forward battle, they may win but QLD still may as well. The difference in experience in the key spots, as well as the ability to control the game and create points favours QLD overwhelmingly. The home ground advantage is not to be underestimated.

    QLD by 7.

This is the most relaxed I've been before a live Origin game in ages. I really just expect us to lose so I'm looking at the possibility of a win as a bonus from this point. I'll probably be more nervous this time tomorrow though.

I'll be chucking $100 on us to get up and $25 on Reynolds motm. Easy cash.

    ... for the bookie

One of the benefits of Pearce and Maloney not being the halves pairing. I have no doubt if that was the case they would not only resort to the cross field kick every time, they would insist on their annoying last tackle mid field bombs down Tupou's wing who can never get there in time and if he does he gets blocked.

    Put $200 on NSW 13+.
