Well to be fair there were a couple of times where Hodkinson cross field kicked it 10 metres out and it landed 10 metres out. Tupou needs to at least get some momentum with a running start.
Yeah for sure. As a casual supporter watching Origin with casual supporter mates I have a house rule where you pretty much have to be 100% biased and can't give any credit to the other team or question any penalties or decisions that go our way, so if the decision was taken off QLD I'd be outraged and if it stood for NSW I'm forced to question it the whole game. Even a slight breach of these rules means that everyone's entitled to give your shit and ask where your Blues shirt is.
If Thurston had a hold of him throughout; then yeah it would have been. But he didn't, he lost grip of him at the most important point which is when Hayne's elbows touched the deck.
I blame McQueen for that more than Thurston. At least Thurston attempted a tackle and almost had him too. McQueen got butt thrusted.
Inglis had a decent opportunity to try and get under the ball also but instead tried to be a hero in yanking Hayne back by his collar. Clearly like planes flying in the rain no one told him that they don't put collars on jerseys anymore. It was a clusterfuck of poor defensive efforts.
Boyd standing there throwing his arms up at the ref before Hayne has even scored....get in there and help you useless cunt.
Yeah Tupou was fucking harbage. His runs were ok but his 'aerial prowess' was what got hom sselected and he ballsed it there
Indeed. Was fairly obvious, and probably prevented a try, because he was looming up like a Griffin to get the pass from Hayne.
He was useless as always, but gets praised because he fell over the line twice thanks to others work.
Just watched the replay. with 20 seconds to go, hodges drops the ball, the the refs blow for the slater injury. Inglis then plays the ball when play resumes. that is two monumental fuck ups on one play at the most crucial point of the game.
I noticed that. It had to be a QLD penalty, or NSW scrum. But they called for someone else to play the ball, allowing Hodges to go back out to right centre lol.
The whole last couple of minutes was full of call after call in Queensland's favour, all starting with the Luke Lewis "knock on" in Queensland's end.
Yeah. For 90% of the game the refs were fine, but they did their best to give the game to Queensland in the end.
