Read in the Dom Post today that Waikato are passing a rule with the NZRFU that cow bells can only be used in support of them.

Was motivated just now to email Radio Sport here is what I said

They were reminiscing about fantastic shield moments and they featured that moment from 1980.

So the last week of the regular season is approaching. Added excitement for myself as Wellington have had a gun season (knew they would) and have secured a semi final place.

Really North Harbour are the only team that has absolutely nothing to play for except to record a win. In the Championship all teams except Harbour have a chance of reaching the semis. Whilst the semi finalist in the Premiership are confirmed (Welly, Naki, Auck and Cuntabs) there's gonna be some huge games to see who can claim 1st and 2nd. Waikato can't reach the semis now and is safe of relegation however they have the shield match to play for.....whilst BOP and HB are trying to avoid relegation.

Personally I obviously want Welly to finish 1st (ensure home final.....given they win their semi) but obviously settling for 2nd as well. Wellington vs Taranaki is gonna be a fucking huge game. If Welly win with a bonus point they secure 2nd and a huge chance of coming 1st (Cunterbury would have to win both of their games with bonus points to end up on the same amount of points as Welly and they'd finish first as they beat Welly) If Welly wins but with no bonus point then shit really opens up.

Kind of hoping either HB or BOP beat Cunterbury tbh.

    Exciting stuff.

Although if Wellington finish 1st the chances of Naki finishing 4th is quite high and the semi would be Wellington vs Taranaki again which in some ways isn't good but is in other ways.

Lots of words - what I really got out of the post is that you are pumped for the upcoming games.

Essentially. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to go to the Welly vs Naki game but will definitely be there for a home semi and (hopefully) home final....

Big controversy in the Heartlands after South Canterbury were caught having fielded an ineligible player 3 matches in a row and were docked points less severely (2 vs. 5) than a couple of years back when West Coast fielded an ineligible player for one match.

I know one of the lawyers at the NZRU - will try and find out the dirt.

Had to Google him tbh. Haven't watched much ITM this year.

Watched HB vs Waikato. The game did not capture my imagination.

The fact that Southland can get into the semis with only 19 points (40% win rate) is laughable. Sure you can understand that Championship teams end up with less wins/ points in comparison because of the cross over games buts fmd.

Premiership is where it's at......the top 4 order won't be decided until the very last game. It's just so much closer.

I dunno just a flaw that can't be fixed.

Also good on North Harbour for getting their first win

Like I said Tasman never win when they are supposed to.

I hope they get dropped to heartlands.

    Wellington!!!!!

Good performance. Pretty much shut them out from the get go.

    Home semi guaranteed now.

Argh Canterbury have scored 3 tries now...........come on BOP hold them off the 4. So Welly can finish 1st.

I am pleased for the health of NZ rugby that the three big cities CHCH - Auckland - and Wellington have all done well this year.

Hamilton and surrounds not too far back from the pace.

Canterbury just score their 4th........FMD. They'll end up on 39 points (like Wellington) but will be 1st as they beat Welly in the round robin. The positive of that though however is it'll be a Wellington vs Auckland semi (rather than vs Taranaki again) but it also means it'll be a Canterbury home final (if they beat Naki) and pretty much a home Canterbury final is just the start of another fucking Canterbury cock suck mother fucking title win. (Or in other words, not a Welly home final.....unless Naki wins.....so GO NAKI - well that would have always been the case regardless)
