    Cool.

Rugged. He was slow to acclimatise to NPC rugby and seems to have hit his straps lately. In the top 6 wings in the country atm.

    In order

    3) Smith
    4) Ranger
    5) Masanga (sp)

Did you see my up and under here we go link - that was the song on the radio in the 80s.

Don't live in Hamilton any more but defend it staunchly whenever it gets rubbished.

Lived in - Claudelands, Frankton, Silverdale, Ham East.

Representing Fifth Avenue Primary School, Peachgrove Intermediate, and Hillcrest High.

Frankton. Classy. Nice big TAB there.

Waikato struggling to back up the superb Ranfurly Shield performance against Counties and continue a pretty woeful ITM cup :(

At least we have that log-a-wood.

Try as I type so still in with a sniff :toot:

I am guessing with that user name you're a Wellington supporter...yeah?

Close finish in this game. 3 points in it with 5 to play and Waikato rampant

Piers Francis - this guy is a revelation at 10.

    Unbelievable come back by Waikato.

whats the go with Tanaka - is he over here from Japan on a loan?

  16. Fiery GR Smith

Him and the hooker Shota Horie both went to get some experience playing in NZ. Neither of them are on contract though. Otago can't afford to pay them.

Are we at least billeting them?

this Tanaka looks like he needs a bit of seasoning - some stupid options at times. Good options at other times.

Dunno. I hope the Otago Rugby Union are looking after them somehow.

Good afternoon of rugby. Can't believe Waikato beat Counties. Counties massively outplayed them IMO. Shows how the Chiefs have been going so well with all of that backline talent across the two sides. Don't agree on Piers Francis though - he has potential, but far from where he needs to be right now IMO.

Wellington bossed Otago upfront in the first 40; giving their backs acres of space to play with. Good to see Kees Meeuws giving the Otago forwards a roasting at halftime and them coming out a much improved unit in the 2nd stanza.

He is an order of magnitude better than Renata who has been relegated to the 15 jersey. Thought Francis out played his opposite number and without his skill level they would not have won.

He is no Beauden Barrett. But he is serviceable and is ITM cup standard. I think he is a major find.

But agreed he will not be in a chiefs jersey anytime soon.

What was the maori word Alex Bradley used? Wairoa - for spirit? Too much of that at the end and they wanted the W more.
