    Now all Southland have to do is beat CM, NH, Taranaki, HB to hold on to it for next season.
    Only up against 1 div 1er out of the lot.

    I'm not really a Southland fan but I'd much rather them have the shield than those Cantabs.

    Yes! Great to see Southland win, and dominate a decent Canterbury unit. One criticism of Canterbury was that whilst superb on defense, they seemed content to let Southland attack and didn't try to turn the ball over at the ruck enough.

    Went to the Wellington Auckland game with a couple of mates. Some old bastard in front moaned at us that we were talking to much and we should have stayed at home if we wanted to talk. We were talking about the game FFS. Yes, there are some older, grumpier bastards than I, it seems.
